Comments about Snow Joe 18" Clearing Path Electric Snow Thrower:

In deeper snow, have to layer cut in about 6-8" layers but works pretty good for walkways and other areas I can't get the heavy big snow blower. Also easy to transport for friend's yard.

Comments about Snow Joe 18" Clearing Path Electric Snow Thrower:

I bought it a month ago and just had an 18" snow here in NYC. It was a bit overwhelmed but cleared my driveway, my neighbor's driveway, and the sidewalks of four houses. It's still a lot of work just pushing it into that much snow, but I was very pleased. Only one minor quibble is that the powercord connection kept coming loose every few minutes and needed to be reseated. I got it on sale ("Employee pricing") and it was around $180 at the time. I couldn't be more pleased with it.

Comments about Snow Joe 18" Clearing Path Electric Snow Thrower:

Purchased this unit today. Used it with 2" on ground and was satisfied with result. Went out again and found 6" was too much for it. Auger stopped turning when it contacted snow. Took off belt cover to find PLASTIC drive gear was stripped. Also, belt tensioner was loose, not applying enough pressure to belt. It seems I now have to mail the entire unit (postage paid both ways) to NJ to get it fixed, as there are no service centers and they do not sell parts online. Would not recommend this to anyone.
