Better than using a shovel
from new york city
its not heavy duty, doesn't work very well with compacted snow or wet snow.
Electric can do the job
By Reid S
from Western NYS
Used for first time yesterday in a mix of wet snow. Maneuvering with the cord takes getting used to, but expected. Handles dry snow very well, but not wet. Heavier snow also doesn't get thrown very far, so you throw it at least twice - and/or shovel it. Must take your time using it - can't force it. I threw a breaker twice. Make sure you get right cord for this - I got a 15 amp, 12-guage, 100-foot cord. Also use the handle accessory which will prevent the cord from coming unplugged. Overall, I think this was a good investment as we get frequent snowfalls.

About Me Handyman
This electric snow thrower is the perfect complement of power and value. It throws snow like a champ and the light feature is nice for nighttime plowing.

Snow Joe does the job
from Columbus New Jersey
About Me Professional
This replaces a 15 yr old Toro electric snow blower that had seen better times..it broke so for last snow fall of last year borrowed my neighbor's Snow Joe..same model as mine but without headlight. That last storm we had about 7" of snow and it did a great job. Live in a gated 55+ community where the shovel and plow for us but when I want to get out I want out. My driveway is approximately 40' long and single car wide and finished it all in about 15 minutes or so with no problem, was impressed so know I had to replace my old Toro so got the model number from my neighbor and started my shopping on line and checked some video's on You Tube. When all was said and done I saved approximately $30-40 buying this unit from PC Richardson and as compared to other internet retailers and brick and mortar stores and UPS delivered it 3 day later. Took all of 3 minutes to unbox and tighten a couple of knobs and I was ready to go. Tested the unit to make sure it worked...be sure to use a #14 (50') or #12 (100') extension cord for optimum performance. So very pleased with my purchase and highly recommend and look forward to my first measurable snow to use it..call me crazy but retired and a guy thing with our toys..but yet light enough and easy to use for anyone. Hope this was helpful...
