I've had 4 or 5 different whole home audio setups over the years, from speaker selectors to Russound systems and everything in between, and when I recently blew my 3rd amp I decided to try Sonos and wow am I glad I did. I would have tried it sooner but my experience with audio apps, wifi, and whole home audio streaming have never been positive, but Sonos proved me WAY wrong. This system works out of the box with LITERALLY the push of one button. I wired 3 Sonos Connect Amps into my existing wire ceiling speakers, bought a 5 speaker which is also great, and also sent the sonos as a source into my home theater, and all works seamlessly all day, every day, in all 5 zones. Brilliant job, Sonos!
Connect Amp rocks!

Ample power for my 2 stereo speakers and love the subwoofer output. Now my 2.1 channel system rocks and in a large room. Great solution all around.
Excellent product. Easy to use

I replaced a system that cost me thousands more. The old system needed to have a professional install. This system I enjoyed doing it myself. I also didn't mind throwing $10k worth of old equipment out after using sonos!

Works and Sounds Great

Compact clean design. Great sound and connects quickly and seemlessly to the wireless system. I use it for outdoor audio via a rock-speaker. I suspect it would sound even better with higher quality speakers in a home theater setting. It could use more outputs for surround sound and/or outputs for different speaker impedence.
Inconsistent, but Good
Great concept, I am frustrated by the app when it won't respond even when I stand next to my router (to get perfect reception).

I used a couple connect amps to control audio in rooms throughout my home. The only problem I have with Sonos is that they are highly addictive! I plan on incorporating more connect amps into my home to complete my whole home audio experience.
When it works, it's fabulous.

After more than 45 days of use, I still cannot play music that is not interrupted by skips and/or dropped tracks. Customer service has been articulate and enthusiastic but at a loss to solve my problems. When my case got "bumped up" for more technical treatment, it apparently got bumped out. The case worker stopped responding. This situation makes for the first time that a new system or new technology is actually worse than what I had before.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I removed my Yamaha home theatre amplifier/radio and replaced it with the Connect Amp. The speakers from the Yamaha as well as the Sub woofer work great and sound even better.
