2 functionalities would make it perfect!

By liquidsunshine

from Portland, OR, USA

Comments about Sony Alarm Clock Radio with Time Projection:

Wish you could mix or match the sleep/wake options instead of choosing either nature sounds OR radio for sleep/wake Wish I could plug in my device as source of the music instead of just charging it. All else is quite wonderful!

Best Alarm Clock

By Pacito

from Fairfax, VA, USA

Comments about Sony Alarm Clock Radio with Time Projection:

This is the best alarm clock I've owned. Great for simplicity, yet has all the features I need. Weekday, weekend alarm function memory, fade in sound wake up, it sets the time, date and day itself when you plug it in, and auto corrects for daylight savings time. It has a USB port I charge my phone with at night, which is very convenient to have on the nightstand. I us the nature sounds when reading or working from home. It has a rather small footprint but isn't hard to operate.

Good But One Problem

By CraftedFire

from Gautier, MS, USA

Comments about Sony Alarm Clock Radio with Time Projection:

Great alarm clock, but I set up my alarm clock to wake me up on weekdays only and yet it sounds on the weekends too. I just wish there was an on/off switch for the alarm somewhere and if there is one I haven't found it yet.

The time display is easily readable from just about any place in the room. However, the station reception leaves a lot to be desired.

Controls and Features work as advertised

By pusuit3400

from 48167

Comments about Sony Alarm Clock Radio with Time Projection:

As mentioned in the headline, all controls and features work as described. Contrary to some reviews, there is no problem with the alarm function being too quiet as it becomes progressively louder the longer it runs. The button to turn off the alarm is difficult to find when you are waking up, causing you to hit the wrong button which sometimes disturbs other settings. My only real disappointment is that I like to go to sleep listening to talk radio at low volume. Unfortunately, speaker quality is very poor, making it difficult to clearly hear the conversation without raising the volume to unacceptable levels.

Best alarm clock ever.

By Alarmist

from 17043

Comments about Sony Alarm Clock Radio with Time Projection:

I have a long, adversarial relationship with alarm clocks. Who doesn't? All I can say is that this one is the most polite and effective alarm clock I have ever been forced to cohabitate with. I love the fact that it has two alarms: I feel better with a "back up", in case I accidentally shut the first one off. Incidentally, in a year of use, I have never done that with this clock. Also, and more importantly, the alarm is a no-frills electronic tone/beep (no ocean sounds, no soothing muzak), but it starts out quietly, and ramps up in volume at a medium pace for a polite-yet-forceful awakening. My wife is stunned that I will actually wake up now within one or two beeps, without the grouchy annoyance that some more abrasive alarms have caused. I love this clock as much as anyone can love an alarm clock.

A near perfect alarm clock marred by a fatal flaw

By 60minutesnoozer

from austin, tx

Comments about Sony Alarm Clock Radio with Time Projection:

I am one of those people who's mind operates differently in the morning, where I make bad decisions in the name of "more sleep". I cannot be trusted to decide how long I would like to snooze for between presses of the snooze button. It has always been 9 minutes and always shall be. On that note, who in the world sets an alarm and then decides "ahhhh nevermind, I'm going to press the snooze button 6 times and sleep for an hour!"? And all Sony alarm clocks have this insane feature. Hedging out the normal buyer to appease some wackadoo that prefers his snooze intervals to be 60 minutes. If you really must continue running this bizarre feature on your alarm clocks, can you make it a switch on the bottom or something? Having such a dangerous feature coupled with the snooze button, the button we press when we are half asleep and begging for just 9 sweet more minutes of bliss â€" you give that button the power to accidentally sleep for an hour? You've taken a non-existent problem from the dawn of alarm clocks and created a world were people everywhere wonder to themselves "Did I press it once or twice? Let me check ... oh how do I check? I press it again? Darn it now I pressed it 3 times. Now I'll press it 4 more times and I think I'll be good. Wait, I can't even see the clock because I dim it completely off at night, how do I brighten the clock up while also pressing the snooze button so I can see how long I am snoozing for? SCREW IT ALL I'M SNOOZING FOR AN HOUR". Thank you Sony, really.

Extremely Versatile Functions

By PKG1

from Newport Beach, CA 92660, USA

Comments about Sony Alarm Clock Radio with Time Projection:

This purchase was made because of studies telling us not to bring our cell phones to bed. I was using mine solely for telling time during the night and as an alarm in the morning. But having to grab my phone to wake it and read the time was causing me to have fitful sleep so I bought this clock. I love having the time projected subtley on the ceiling where all I have to do is open my eyes for a brief moment to see the time. I use the dual alarms depending on when I need to wake different days. I also like the nature sounds as I have tinnitus. I great purchase!
