BDP-S6200 freezes up
Comments about Sony Dual Core Blu-ray Disc Player 4K Upscaling:
I purchased this not for the 4K upscaling. After a week or so I noticed that when I would try and pause or stop either a DVD, Bluray or even streaming the player wouldn't respond to the remote. If you try to shut the unit off, it tries and then sits and blinks OFF over and over. The only way to get it to work again is to unplug the unit. I tried factory reset with no results I exchanged the unit and the new one has exactly the same issue. I love sony products but their customer service is the worst I have ever dealt with. Just hope you never have to call customer service!!! Still no fix!!!!!!
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Wanted to Love This Player But Can't
Sony has been my brand by choice. I have always had a great experience from other products until this purchase. I have to continuously reset the player. I am having the same problems that others seemed to be having with this particular model. The player worked fine for the first 6 months but not any more.
No Flash Support in Web Browser
This device is excellent except for one thing...when browsing the Internet using the browser, flash support does not exist. That leaves out a lot of sites. I'm returning the player to find one that does.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Plays DVD's and Blu Ray's great, although lagged on one disk when loading had to restart the disk. The issue I have is when watching a movie from Netflix, etc. the picture will freeze and/or continue to play but the remote control is inoperable, unable to use any of the buttons. Tried them all and I couldn't even turn the player off using the remote control or the power button on the player itself. Had to unplug it. It has happened three times now. The current firmware is installed.

Excellent product with major software bug
Excellent product that had major software but that prevented wifi access. This prevented download of software update. Required level 5 tech to walk me thru manual update of software using USB thumb drive. Took approx 1 week to obtain full functionality.
Great in all phases. I could not be more pleased.
Very pleased with purchase
This is my 3rd Sony Blue Ray player and best of all. Easy to use and great pictures on my 4k tv.
Best Purchase Ever
I really love this blu-ray player - it has a much faster speed (wi-fi) than the older players I used to own. It connects to my netflix accounts and many more!
Got a 70" 4K TV for Christmas, this player makes even regular (Non Blue Ray) DVDs look great. Hard to find 4K DVDs but I do have some on order and I expect them to look awesome on this TV.
