Good sound & comfort but cord too short
This headset has the best sound quality of any PC headset I've purchased. Comfort is very good too if you remove your earrings. But the cord is too short! No other headset I've bought had a cord that was too short. And there is nothing about the cord length in the specifications on the packaging or the Sony website. Now I need an extension cord (or preferably an extension cord with splitter for going back & forth between PC speakers and headset), and I don't know what to get because there are no plug size specifications to be found on the packaging or Sony website, either!!! If I included the packaging and specifications issues in my score, I'd give this product a 2, not a 4.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I am happy with earphones.
from Darby, Pa.
These earphones are very good for the money . l pay a $100 for JBL E40. Sony was just as good. The volume was better than E40.

I bought These 2 years ago and I compared them to the pair of Beat i have and the sound quality just blew me away. Better then beats!!!
the sound blew out after 3 months of gentle use
After using these headphones for only three months, I was walking along listening to music and suddenly the sound blew out of the right side. Until then they had been great, but I was hoping they'd last longer than three months! Now only the left headphone works.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
I like it. Good quality. Just a but uncomfortable if you have earings in your ears because head phones press your ears. Besides that -enjoying it!

Good while it lasted
This was a good product, but after 4 months one of the sides stopped working so i was left with one functioning earpiece. Overall good but quality could be s little bit better
Durability and excellent sound
We purchased our first set of Sony MDR V6 headphones in 1991. Since that time we have purchased two additional sets. Using a Sony stereo receiver connected to our iMac, the V6 sound through the receiver is significantly improved over direct connection to the computer. For almost 25 years the V6 has been our preferred headphone.

These headphones go great with my sound card!
from Fairfield, OH 45014, USA
I have had a pair of these for four years, now. I have a Logitech 5.1 speaker system on my computer (I'm a former musician; I want great sound) along with a high end sound card, and the ZX100 headphones sound superior to the speakers. (The reason why I'm buying a new pair is that I stepped on my current pair by accident. These are great headphones, not a great skateboard!)
25 years plus and still going strong
from SW Ohio
I bought my MDR-V6 headphones in the 1980's. I'm not sure of the year but I know it was several years before the internet became a household thing. Through 25 plus years of service these headphones have been nothing but outstanding. They were head and shoulders above the competition when I bought them and they still sound great. I haven't bothered to check what other phones sound like in a while because it's pretty much impossible to best the phones I have. I have other headphones of course but none have the natural sound and complete sound of these Sony phones. They are simply the best. Loudspeakers have improved a lot over that time period but not headphones. I don't see how they could. I think my grandchildren will be listening to these headphones and wondering how Sony got it so right so long ago.
