2nd One I have Bought
from Denver, CO.
Comments about Tripp Lite UPS Smart LCD Tower Battery Back Up 120V AVR Coax RJ45 SMART1500LCDT:
This is the second time I bought one of these units. I liked the 1st one I bought for my gaming rig, I decided to buy the exact same one to replace an old failing UPS I had my wife's computer on. The only thing i don't like about it is Tripp Lite no longer sends out monitoring software with them. I liked being able to monitor and test my UPS from my PC. Yes, this unit has the LED display on it but it sits on the floor, behind some furniture and I am old and don't want to crawl down on the floor, move the furniture to check it's health.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

So far it is doing its job just fine. It's great to see the usage which tells me it can handle my system and more!
Tripp•Lite continues to impress
from Chalfont, PA
I purchased this unit for my home office to replace an aging competitor's 750VA unit. The SmartPro was put to the test within the first week when my area experienced a 40 minute power outage. The SmartPro took over instantly and continued to power my connected devices the entire 40 minutes. I couldn't ask for more. A word about the odor some reviewers have complained about - yes the unit did produce a noticeable odor after putting into service, but after about two weeks it is now barely noticeable. The smaller competitor's unit had a similar smell all those years ago, but it fades and you forget about it.
Superb piece of equipment
from Sarasota, FL
This is a superb piece of equipment at a good price. It is easy to implement. It is quite heavy and does take up significant space. Supplied wires could be longer to accommodate placement. On a rack or on the floor, distance to power and to equipment matters. I give it top ratings nonetheless. Then again, I am yet to suffer my first lengthy power failure.

Reliable equipment. Have had great expirence with similar and other Trpplite products. Wish you would turn outlets 90 degrees to accomodate power adapters
Great product for the price
By Tripping GFCI Outlet
from Brandywine, MD
My GFCI outlet in the basement flux a lot during storms and I decided to purchase the UPS to ensure my alarm panel garage openers, and Solar monitoring devices stay active during burnouts, flux and power outages. As soon as I installed the UPS we had a power flux and couple of days later and the UPS proved to do what it do! I'm happy I made the purchase and will be purchasing another one to put my extra refrigerator and freezer on in the basement.
Works great for me.
I'm using this to back up my network hardware: DSL modem, switches, wifi router, etc. It works great and gives me plenty of run time. I had a power outage the day I plugged it in and set it up. It ran for an hour and a half or so before exhausted (about what I would have guessed for the load). and then shut down (the outtage was more than 24 hours). When the power came back on it came up on its own and everything started back up and the batteries were charged up quickly. I really like the display as it is helpful to see the loading and predicted run time. I'm very happy with it.
I would highly recommend this product!

One of the greatest and easiest product to setup and use. Dose everything advertised and more for a worry free fix to my problems.
Very Easy Setup
By Donald C.
from Mills River, NC
I am using the TrippLite UPS in my home office. The setup was easy and the directions were clear. In addition to my Network server, the house thermostat is on the modem WiFi. That way when we are gone, I can still log in to check on house temps and determine if I need to call a repairman.
1990's home office in 2016
from Seattle, WA USA
I've had personal computers in my business since 1991 and have been a Tripp Lite customer for just as long. I haven't had a UPS in my home office since about 2000, so when I purchased this one I was thinking about the old desk side tower and huge CRT monitor, modem, etc. I had back then. Now that I use a notebook and LCD monitors, there is no load on the UPS. I now have a 4TB desktop NAS, wireless router, broadband modem, tiny workstation plugged into the UPS. Still showing "No Load".I'm going to pull the plug from the wall to test. since the software installed on the workstation says 180 minutes remaining.
