I was expecting a very strong come back to the AC series when Syndicate was announced, especially after the huge let down that accompanied Unity. Unfortunately, I was let down again when I played Syndicate. First, the story is really good and enjoyable, unlike the very predicted story of Unity. That being said, I have enjoyed the side missions and the HUGE open world more. Unfortunaltely, all of that becomes very repetitive and every thing becomes booring and tedious. You will end up doing the same thing over and over again. You are either assissinating, escorting, child liberating or taking down gang bosses. At many points in the game, I didn't find the game really challenging. I found out that 90% of the missions are pretty easy and unchallenging. I loved the combat system and the grapple gun which allowed me to move through London in ease without the need to drive a carriage. Also the grapple gun made things much easier to explore instead of dealing with the very poor mechanics system of climbing and the clunky controls that Ubisoft can't fix untill today. The final boss fight is such a dissapointment. The open world looks beautiful, but the graphics are not the best at all. In the WWI memory, I felt like I was playing an Xbox 360 game when I was watching the cut scenes, especially the facial textures of Winston Churchill. The AI is far outdated nowadays too, come on, you can't kill an enemy infront of his fellow and he/she would do nothing because they are just more far away.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
