We purchased this unique microwave (model WMC20005YW-0) over 10 years ago for a kitchen countertop corner, having dumped our over-the-stove microwave in favor of a dedicated hood. This model was exactly what we needed at a reasonable price. We've have since moved and had it placed inside of a kitchen cabinet, convenient but hidden. It has worked flawlessly until now…the turntable has stopped rotating…hoping to have it fixed. One incredible little machine! Kudos to Whirlpool!

Isn't very tall inside, but fits a standard plate perfectly and a "grande" size Starbucks cup just fits as far as height. Fits in a corner of our kitchen, out of the way and does the job reliably. Easy to use controls. Definitely recommend.

I had to have one replaced because it was not heating properly. It was replaced by the seller very easily. They delivered the new one and took the old. The new one and my other old one work just fine. I love that I can put them at an angle in a corner. The oven is not huge, but it is fine for average, not extra large dishes, bowls, etc. I learned about these from my daughter, who is a truck driver, and uses one in her truck. I do like the optional 30 second increments for the heat time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Truth? I don't have any lights in my house. Only one extension cord from my neighbors with one plug outlet. So you could imagine my surprise when my only light source (the bulb in the microwave) went out. I don't know what I will do. Now, at night, I can't watch my food cook. Maybe it will save me from getting too close to the microwave when it is on, which I hear is a bad thing. I don't have any wax paper either. If memory serves me correctly, that wax is made from petrol products. I don't care who on the internet says it is a good idea, it is not. Let's just heat up glass and ceramic and food in the microwave. I don't think putting thin paper with a petroleum coating on it, in a microwave, is good for anyone! And that cord! I have all the cords in my house matching. The microwave came with a white cord, so, since I only have the one extension cord, I had to find a white one to match. Sweeeet, it looks soooo good!

The first one lasted 7+ years before it starting acting up. I considered other sizes, but the round back makes this model fit perfectly in the corner of my kitchen. What I like: - simple to use: just one extra button for popcorn (which gets used a lot in our house) - fits a dinner plate - has a rotating turntable that is easy to remove and clean - has an interior light to see what's cooking - easy to clean What could be improved: - I REALLY wish the front face of the door (black outline) was more MATTE finish like the bottom panel where the buttons are because the shiny black shows EVERY fingerprint, and I am wiping it down many times a day; or my true preference would be to make the entire front a brushed silver finish to match the sides--I chose silver--and that would alleviate the fingerprints. - I wish there was a way to either mute the beeps or choose low/high volume - for such a simple microwave with very few features I think it is quite expensive I found that by placing the microwave on top of a silicone mat it is much steadier when opening the door--the microwave does not move. All in all I recommend this microwave; perhaps Whirlpool will listen to my suggestions. ;-)

It ate up a bunch of countertop in my galley kitchen, but I didn't like any of the smaller alternatives until I found this one. Best purchase I've made in a long time. It isn't as powerful as my old one, but since I only reheat leftovers, that isn't really an issue. The only complaint, if it truly is a complaint, is that it is so lightweight that it moves every time I open the door. A piece of gripper shelf liner under it solved that problem.

Only small issue was set up instructions. There was a cardboard piece inside with a screw and rubber grommets. Nothing said to remove it but with the metal screw it made me nervous. I took it out.
