Turned out to be a bad choice
By Upset repeat customer
from Plano, Texas
The purchase turned out to be a very bad choice. Service call placed in the second week when we found out the freezer started to build frost and ice. The technician sent by Whirlpool determined it's the freezer door not manufactured properly and we need a new freezer door. It will take 6-8 weeks for the new door to arrive and before that we have to deal with the frost and ice in the freezer ourselves. Not a happy customer here.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
47 yrs history with Whirlpool refrigerators
By Janie Lou
This particular unit slipped by the quality control people--and had a non-functioning fan motor--no control of temp in refrigerator or freezer portion BUT I called the repair department and a most efficient repairman came as soon as possible and diagnosed the problem, which was repaired with the arrival of the part in two days. I was nervous about how the new refrigerator would work, but now, it seems to be fine. Have had Whirlpool refrigerators for 47 years with no problems
You get what you pay for
from Chino Valley AZ
I had read all the reviews before we decided to go ahead and purchase this one. Yes, we do have issues with the drawer slide--as long as you pull it our evenly and smoothly, it works most of the time and only takes a few seconds to 'fix' if it does come undone.I have heard a few loud 'pops' but not every day and it is not near as loud as others have stated in their reviews. As I stated--'You get what you pay for' and this was several hundred less than the white version and we got stainless steel. Another plus is this is French Door which I love and the refrigerator we replaced was a Maytag side by side (nasty).

Best Frig. in Town!
By Terri Y.
from Benson, North Carolina
This refrigerator is huge and has room for everything in an organized way. It is quite, easy to clean and the ice maker is even quite. The produce drawers keep veggies fresher longer than any frig. I've ever had. There's an extra pull out large enough to hold a prepared platter or cheese, whatever you want to use it for. I use it for cheeses, tortilla, biscuts, sausage, etc. I couldn't be more happy with it. My husband loves it too. We bought this rather than it being installed by the Builder.
Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator
from Elk Rapids MI
My only beef is that when you close the door with the flapper (it seals between the doors), it pushes the other door open a bit and the other door doesn't always close on its own.
I love my new fridge!
from Spokane, WA
I have two roommates and this has plenty of room for 3 foodies. 1 shelf for each of us. The freezer is really efficient and the ice machine down below works fantastic. No melted ice from the defrost mode. Quiet and seems like it hardly ever runs. We can open only one side at a time which keeps the fridge cool. Nice feature. I'd rather have the extra space in the fridge than a bulky water and ice machine on the front of the fridge!
Huge refrigerator. Lots of space
from Chicago, Illinois
I bought this one month ago. I love it but I do miss that it does not have a butter container on the side door. Also it appears that the double door can pop open if you are not careful. I do love all the space in a small area.
I love it but it needs better assembly instructions
By Tweaker 9
from Las Vegas, NV
This is all I hoped it would be. Perfect. The assembly manual is too generic to communicate anything beyond the obvious. There are 6 "door shelves" 2 of which will only fit on the lowest mounting position. I had to figure this out as the instructions said nothing about this. So after 10 mins. of trial and error, I got it. For as much as I paid, you should include instructions for this model.
