I like the way it works and its very quiet. Looks great too. If I had a complaint about it it would be that the door doesnt stay open all the way which causes the bottom rack to keep sliding back in and its frustrating when your trying to load it.

Hooray for the Upgrade!

We are so pleased with our new dishwasher. We bought our home 6 years ago and had been suffering with the loud and inefficient dishwasher that came with the place. I was so happy when it died. This Whirlpool is remarkably quiet and gets the dishes clean (what a concept). We love its appearance and I am now looking forward to replacing the range with the matching Whirlpool stove/hood.
Does the job!

I bought this to replace a 1986 dishwasher that still worked great but just didn't hold what the new ones do. Hope it last as long as the one it replaced. Only had it a few a months.
Great so far

I've had this dishwasher for a few weeks now and I love it. I updated from one that was probably 15 years old so this is a big change, so quiet and does a fantastic job cleaning the dishes.

The dishwasher is smaller than the previous one we owned by Kenmore. Had no idea they had different sizes of dishwashers. If the sales person mentioned it we would probably opt for the bigger size. The silverware basket is a lot smaller so if you have wide handle utensils you wont be able to fit them without lifting the little cover. We ended up using the one from Kenmore. It is very quiet when running.

The machine works and cleans great. It is also ultra quiet. The top display is a little strange to me though. I was told that the unit is to mount flush with the counter top which I did but there is no way to monitor the status of the wash cycle when you can't see the control panel. If I would have held the unit out so I could see the panel, the unfinished sides of the unit would have shown.
Great dishwasher - will dry if you use a rinse aid

So sill try to be short. Installation = easy. My husband did it in an hour. Noise level = super quietLength of cycle = unless you pick the quick wash (which is 1 hour), all are at least 3 hours long. I assume this has something to do with the energy efficiency of the dish washer. Cleanliness of dishes = totally cleanDryness of dishes = totally depends on if you use a rinse aid or not. USE A STORE BOUGHT RINSE AID (like JetDry or Cascade). Here's why. I never before used a rinse aid so this was a whole new learning experience for me and I'll explain what I went through to figure this out. I ran my first load with just a Cascade dish detergent pod, NO rinse aid and my dishes came out dripping wet. I read instructions and it said to use a rinse aid. Not liking the idea of added chemicals, I googled DIY Rinse Aids and found someone who swore by running the dishwasher with a small cup of vinegar in the top rack. This did not work at all. And upon later research, I found that running vinegar continuously thru your appliances can lead to a breakdown in rubber seals. Vinegar is an acid. At this point I was very frustrated and was ready to return the dishwasher. I decided to Google "Rinse Aids and dishwashers" and stumbled upon a valuable article that explained what the rinse aid actually does. The rinse aids you buy in the store actually do something to decrease the water tension on your dishes. I don't fully understand it all, but basically it allows the water to slide more easily off your dishes rather than getting stuck to the dishes in the form of droplets. What does this mean? It means the all the water drips off your dishes at the end of the final rinse cycle allowing the heating element to dry the now tiny amount of water that remains in the dishwasher. The addition of Cascade Rinse Aid in my dishwasher has been life changing. My dishwasher works perfectly now.

We purchased this unit as part of a full kitchen remodel. It was very easy to install in our new kitchen. The operation is quiet and efficient. Our dishes come out very clean and completely dry, unlike our other brand that was in before we upgraded.
