Comments about Whirlpool 24" Built-In Dishwasher - Monochromatic Stainless Steel:
Bought this dishwasher to replace a 1970s antique. Overall very impressed with the wash options and lower water bills (many energy saving options on this unit). My favorite feature is the PowerScour, and overall this washer uses very little water. Installation was simple, just need some elbow grease and a flashlight. The only complaint is that the detergent packets sometimes get stuck. You also have to use the maximum setting for the jet dry.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

So far, I have not been too impressed! We have only been in our home three weeks and have already had a technician out because the top rack fell off with dishes on it! The two clips that hold the rack in place feel off.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

This dishwasher really does the job and we were surprised about how quiet this machine is and how much you can do with arrangement of the configuration of the shelves. would highly recommend Whirlpool to all my friends
Cleans Great Except
By Shelbina Cook

I bought this a month ago and am pleased with the cleaning results (much better than my old machine). . .except for the silverware. The rack is in the door and that may be part of the problem. To load the rack using silverware spacers is time consuming and to unload is also time consuming. I have tried not using the spacers, but then the silverware may not get clean if it happens to be next to another spoon; or if it is a serving piece, the back of the utensil may not come clean. My old dishwasher (not a Whirlpool) had the silverware rack at the side of the bottom rack, and I know it allowed the silverware to wash cleaner. So I would recommend this dishwasher with that reservation.

Very nice appliance, efficient and super quiet. Certainly does a great job of finishing the dishes. I was a staunch rinser before placing dishes in the dishwasher, but with the new whirlpool I haven't had to do so. Would certainly look at another whirlpool appliance next time I'm in the market. Had to use customer service for a loose handle, the agent walked me through the fix and all has been perfect since.
Great design and very quiet

This dishwasher has a great design and is very quiet. Well designed. Has trouble cleaning silverware, probably because the silverware container has one side against the door, thus preventing a through cleaning of the silverware contents. As a resolution, one must wipe off silverware prior to putting in washer. For example, the washer will not clean forks or knives that have peanut butter or cheese residue. Other than that, great dishwasher with many options.

We are very happy with our new Whirlpool dishwasher. We use it more often because it is so energy efficient. I am also impressed with the powerscour option. It cleans the baked on stuff very well.

I am not very satisfied with the overall cleaning especially on the top rack. Consistently glass wear has caked on food. I have tried different cleaners/detergents to no avail. The unit is extremely quiet which is wonderful.

This is the nicest dishwasher we've owned and there are lots of things to like. First of all, the styling is very modern and looks great in our kitchen. The unit is very quiet; hard to tell it's even running. It's easy to use and gets the dishes clean. With no center post and clever adjustability it's easy to fit lots of dishes into it It's not perfect though. We've got to set it on a scrub cycle to fully dissolve the dishwasher soap. Dishes are always clean though. And it takes longer than our old, entry-level dishwasher to run through a cycle. Minor issues. Our biggest gripe is that there is no easy way to tell how much time is left in the cleaning cycleâ€"or even where in the cleaning cycle you are when you open the door. And for some reason we can't seem to keep fingerprints off of the stainless steel door.
