Any dishwasher is better
from Long Island, NY
First- how a company making dishwashers could ever design the utensil tray this way- well, they should go into a different business. Any family member using it has remarked how it fits. Barely hanging on edge or attached to the door. Either way- annoyingly awful.Second- 1 1/2 y.o. Door latch does not engage. I hate this washer- wish I had known what to look for prior to purchase. It is very quiet.
best cleaning dishwasher.
This is the best cleaning dishwasher we have ever had. And the quietest as well. We have an open concept Kitchen, dining, livingroom and we do not hear the dishwasher when it is running.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Nice and Quiet
I've had this dishwasher for about two weeks and the dishes come out looking brand new. No more rewashing! it runs very quiet.

Had this washer for about 6 months and still love it. It is sleek looking, quiet, and has loads of room. Love the adjustable rack. Gets dishes really clean no matter how crazy I fill it. Only downside is it doesn't always get cups on top rack completely dry, unless you tilt them just right BUT not a big deal at all. More my doing I'm sure. As long as it keeps them spot free.
does not clean dishes

I have never written a review before but I felt compelled because of how disappointed we are with this product. In August 2014 we purchased this dishwasher. I asked my husband to buy the extended warranty but he didn't . It worked well for almost a year. We had no complaints compare to the Maytag we had before. Just days after the warranty expired I noticed it wasn't washing / drying! Thought I might be loading it poorly , but soon realized it wasn't working properly. I had a maintenance guy come to check it out and he noticed it was taking over 2 hours to wash. He was not able to help and recommend calling the Whirlpool. I ended up calling Whirlpool for help but by the time I called it was a month passes the warranty. They offered to pay for half the parts and I would have to pay to take care of the labor and half the parts, but only if I used one of the recommended technicians. I have had a technicians come out a couple times and look at the dishwasher and is still not working properly. After the 2nd time a technicians came out, they ended up replacing the entire control board, and sensor. Its still not working properly. It takes over 3 hours to wash and the dishes are still not clean or dry. I'm very unhappy with this product! I did my research before buying this and it had such great reviews I thought it would be fine. I should have paid more attention to the bad reviews. I would not recommend Whirlpool to anybody.

We have had this dishwasher for almost 2 years and really like it. The best thing about the machine is it is incredibly quiet. You really hardly know it's running. The performance has been great. The only detail I wish I could change is it doesn't seem to be possible to turn off the drying cycle if you prefer to just let everything air dry to save on electricity.

It does what it is suppose to do. I clean everything in it: pots, plates, tupperwares, glass, etc. I mostly use the ECO mode and it cleans everything. I never use the dryer, so it runs quite energy efficiently.

I bought my Whirlpool stainess steel tub dishwasher about two weeks ago. The next day after it was installed I asked my husband when we were going to try it out and to my surprise he said it's washing right now. It did not make one single sound the last one I had sounded like a freight train. And also the stainless steel tub does make a difference with the heat retention. Thanks Whirpool for a great purchase.
Leaking from door 14 months after purchase
from Detroit, MI
I usually buy Bosch but this time money was tight and I thought I would try Whirlpool. It is quiet enough. Cycle as long as a Bosch's, but how disappointing when water started pouring out of the left front corner of the the door. After Googling it, I found that it is quite common. Whirlpool said they would cover parts and service as a courtesy because it was 2 months out of warranty, but still. I will be without the use of my dishwasher for over 2 weeks if it can be fixed the day of my appointment.
