Comments about Whirlpool 27" Electric Wall Oven/Microwave Combo - Stainless Steel:
The Combination Microwave Wall Oven was installed in my home August 1st. On the day it was installed I rated the appearance of this appliance 5 stars, but after one use the black glass oven door turned pinkish black and stayed that way. The oven door glass no longer matches the microwave door glass, which is black. In addition, and far more annoying, when the oven is heating, a fan starts running making a high-pitched whistling sound. After the oven is turned off, the fan continues whistling until the oven is cooled. We thought we would get accustomed to the noise, but so far we are still annoyed by it. The oven also makes popping noises occasionally while in use. I've had many ovens in my time but this purchase has been a disappointment. (And when did manufacturer's quit including broiler pans with their ovens? I should have saved my old one.) The microwave works as expected; no complaints. I am sorry I didn't spend a few more dollars on a more quality product. I will avoid the Whirlpool brand in the future.

Great Wall Oven
from Chandler, AZ
After doing the research and reading the reviews, I decided to go with the Whirlpool Combination Microwave/Oven wall unit. I replaced a 21 year old White GE Combination Microwave/Oven that was installed when the house was built. The plastic around the unit had turned yellow and was taking a long time for the over to preheat. Also parts where no longer available for the GE oven that old. I'm not a big fan of stainless steel products, knowing its a pain to keep the stainless steel clean. At the time i purchased the Whirlpool oven, stainless steel was on sale and cheaper than the White or Black ovens. The new wall oven looks great. I have only had this oven for three weeks, in this short time in using the new oven, i find it very easy to use . The oven preheats fast and the food cooks evenly. This oven has a lot of features that i haven't had a chance to use yet. So far, im very pleased with this new oven.

Looks Great / Performs Great!
from Spring, Tx
I installed the combo myself, and I could not have had a better experience. Prepared the cabinet to the installation instructions size and recommendations, wired the electrical as explained in the electrical guide, and with a 2 person lift I positioned and completed the installation with the hardware provided. It was a perfect fit, and the unit looks outstanding in the wall. The functionality is perfect, and I continue to read the operation manual to find out new features on the unit. It is one of the better looking units in stainless steel, and so far, I have had no issues.

GREAT product & Features
We bought this to replace a Kenmore and it far exceeds the quality, features and operation of the previous oven unit. Unit is very efficient and gives a modern look.

Looks great, and thats about it

I bought this about 4 months ago, strictly because I like what it looked like. As many have said before, the noise is horrible. The fan runs for almost an hour after the oven is turned off, and is extremely loud, and annoying. The oven takes much longer than any of my other ovens i've had to preheat. The controls are not very intuitive, all could be overlooked, except that noisy fan, its really bad
Very easy to use

Love it. So glade I purchased it.

The oven heats food just like its suppose to. What more do you need? Well it does look nice and is easy to use. The racks are well built and have a nice grip handle. Drawbacks: The fan does run a long time and can be difficult to hear the timer sound with the fan running constantly. I guess the fans are on all new ovens. My big complaint is that the touch panel control shows EVERY fingerprint. I mean it looks like a crime scene by the end of the day.

Whirlpool appliances came standard with my new home build. We did not have options for any other manufacturer. Have never owned Whirlpool... and will not buy them in the future. I have the model WOC54E built in microwave and combination lower oven. Oven is loud (fan runs to keep the exterior of door cool to touch while operating oven). Fan runs for 30-45 min after you turn the oven off. You almost get used to the noise. My real problem is with the microwave oven which has now stopped working after only 3 years. It is going to take 7-10 for delivery guy to get replacement parts -- and will cost me $600-800 to repair it. That seems pretty exorbitant given the appliance is only 3 years old (and cost to repair it is more than 25% the cost of the combo unit brand new).Very disappointed.

We previously had a white-faced combination microwave and oven. We have replaced it with the stainless steel model (WOC54EC7AS) which looks really classy - and performs very well - particularly as it is fairly near the stainless steel cook-top range we have. Great products; dependable name and function.
