Great design and performance!
from Evergreen Park,IL
We had microwave/oven wall unit installed last month and it was love at first sight. The kitchen was remodeled two years ago but I did not replace the wall oven/ microwave. When the microwave part broke I wanted a stainless steel unit to replace the old. Whirlpool had the smaller size and best looking combo, so I ordered it. I liked the design but didn't know how much until it was installed. My other appliances are stainless steel, so the Whirlpool not only complemented it but made the entire kitchen look great. The controls are easy and cooking is a breeze. I couldn't be happier with my 27 inch Whirlpool oven/microwave wall unit.
Love this unit

This is exactly what I wanted. It replaced a double oven which I didn't need and gave me more counterspace. Works very well. My only complaint? Still waiting for the rebate 2.5 months later!

We bought this combo oven for a major kitchen remodel. We have had this in use for about four weeks. It's certainly nice looking. But, there are some definite negatives. Buttons are very hard to push. Instead of the light touch necessary on all our other appliances, we need to press long and firm to make a selection. Am very surprised at how hard we need to press. It takes getting used to, but even then, it's more than we would prefer, or expect. Also, the microwave is under powered. Something that took our Sharp counter top unit 30 seconds to heat or melt, now takes twice as long. Wattage turns out to be only 900 watts. A significant drop from our last two microwaves which had 1100 and 1200 watts respectively. Not sure why an expensive combo unit such as this one would have such a low power rating. We clearly should have done more research before purchasing. Another negative is the noisy fan. Much louder than our old Kenmore oven. Plus, since the wall the oven backs up to has the living room on the other side, we can hear a low pitched rumble in the living room whenever the fan is running for any reason. We never exprerienced that with the original oven that came with the house, or the one we replaced it with prior to this remodel. Bottom line, if we had known about these issues, we would have purchased another combo unit - there are several comparable ones out there that may have been a better choice. Another issue - the left edge of the chrome trim on the lower door had a very sharp edge to it left over from manufacturing. It was not filed smooth as it should have been. One of the installers cut two of his fingers on this sharp edge. We offered to contact Whirlpool for some kind of compensation for his injury, but he refused, saying he had been through such a situation in the past and gave up after being stonewalled for months by the manufacturer. Not saying that Whirlpool would act the same, but he didn't have much faith in the pursuit of the issue. He has since filed the sharp edge down to prevent any more serious injuries from this lack of quality control.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Sleek looking and works great.

I replaced my 12 year old Whirlpool combo with your new product. I was very pleased with the original and like my new one. It is sleek looking and very efficient...however: the microwave and oven are much more complicated to operate. It takes twice (or more) as many steps to do what my old one did.
Good combination, which works as advertised. Convenient height for men and women. Touch screen words a little small for old eyes, but usable.

My only compliant so far has been with the installation flange. Really needs a trim piece to hide the mounting flange and screws.
very happy with this -had one similar-but have improved some features-
Only one flaw.

Great appliance, but the oven fan is a bit loud.
