Comments about Whirlpool 27" Electric Wall Oven/Microwave Combo - White:
Had to replace 14 yr old oven, that could not be repaired. (Kitchenaid)Putting house on market, the next week. A pricey item, I barely got to use, because house sold so fast. However, I loved it. MUCH quieter than the old, which was a different brand, and $1,000 more.I'm currently building a new home, and will choose the Whirlpool and hopefully get to use it more.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I'm so glad my builder installed this unit in my new home. It's very easy to use and all of my dishes have turned out great. This combination oven/microwave was an upgrade, but it has been well worth the extra cost.
I have no idea what you want here!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My old Whirlpool microwave was larger. Now I hit the edge of the glass turner often when I take out a coffee cup. Otherwise it is fine. The oven is the same as the old one as far as accuracy is concerned and I have yet to "clean" it. So my only complaint (and not really a complaint) is a slightly smaller microwave. I wish the stainless steel was more of a "satin" finish. I don't care for the "shiny look" I don't like the finger marks on the set up controls. The oven is "noisier" than my old Whirlpool.

Have been using products for approximately 8 weeks now. Both are extremely eye pleasing . Microwave is quick and easy to use. The oven cook time , very difficult to use or maybe it's the instructions. The oven does cook well just takes long time for oven to cool down.

Came with house just built. Should have paid more attention to the features of this combo.Really wierd when you can set the timer on the microwave to minutes AND SECONDS!!!!! You can set cook time in the microwave to minutes and seconds.Other microwave I had would let you put 1 for 1 minute, 2 for 2 minutes, etc instead of entering 200 for 2 minutes.Oven is noisy with a whistling noise coming from it when cooking or cooling down.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Inverter went bad after 18 months, could not find the invoice to prove it 18 months old. Big box retail store could not find the receipt due to change in sales system per the customer service person. So I will fix out of pocket but good luck finding parts as some have already been discontinued.Yes we did mail in the warranty card, but it never got entered.

this item came with the house,i'm having problem with the temp. some times it is great some times not...depends on which rack and it bakes different then my gas one. I have worked with it at Christmas. the cookies just didn't come out right too dry so I tried taking out early...over all it is ok. would prefer gas.

A Cook's Dream!
from Troy, MI
This product replaced a competitor's more expensive product that only lasted 9 years and required 4 major repairs. I cook daily and appreciate the easy to use controls, large oven glass door, quiet fan and attractive design. I would have rated it a 5, except for being unable to tighten the stripped screws in the exterior sheet metal cover on the oven during installation. This causes a slight rattle noise when using the microwave.
Noisy Fan and Confusing Digital Pad
from Atlanta, GA
This oven combo was standard with our new home purchase. It has a very noisy fan during and after operation. We leave the over door ajar after use while we are eating so that the fan will shut down sooner. It remains on until the lower oven reaches a certain cooled down level. This is OK in winter to help heat the house but won't be good in summer. Also we have to get up from the table during our meal to shut the oven door when the fan stops so as to extend the life of the oven light bulb. At least the microwave fan stops after you open the door but it continues to run if you let food sit in there to stay warm. We also find the control pad for both ovens to be less than intuitive.
Wish I could have kept my previous oven
from Houston, TX
Although I ordered the steam clean oven, that is not what was installed and an adjustment was made to the price, but I was disappointed. I wish I had my old oven back because it his new one takes too long to warm up as well as to cool down and requires way too many steps to start and to change the temperature while baking. I preferred the knobs on my old oven. Not sure who thinks that digital is better, but it is certainly not me.
