[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought the WRS588FIHZ to replace a 20 year old 25 cu. ft. side-by-side and we are very satisfied with our selection. Initially, we were concerned that this larger model might make space in our kitchen a little tight but it fits very well. We are really enjoying the additional space it provides for both fresh and frozen food and the layout and features work well for us. We would definitely recommend this refrigerator to anyone looking for a basic (non-“smart”) fridge, with ice and water in the door, that offers plenty of space. It’s a real winner.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall my wife and I are satisfied with the refrigerator/freezer, particularly the volume it provides and the ice cube tray contained in the door. However, I am not happy with Whirlpool's quality control as the fridge side started freezing the food contained within it. I was not able to adjust the temperature in the fridge. The service technician performed a service call today and had to replace the user interface on the freezer door. The fridge temp had been set at 34 deg F at the factory, 3 deg below the minimum set point. And we now have more functionality on the interface. But, now that this hiccup has been resolved; we are happy customers again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this two months ago, and I am very happy with the whirlpool side-by-side. What I like best about it is that it’s quiet unlike Frigidaire. This side by side allows for so much more space in your refrigerator and in your freezer. And what I also like most about it is that you don’t have to bend over to get into the freezer and you don’t have to open up both refrigeration doors to get into one side of the fridge. A great design and I’m very pleased with it.

This Refrigerator is Way Cool!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm delighted with our new refrigerator. It's sleek looking, and the fingerprint-resistant stainless doors are great. It's nice that we can use magnets on the doors. The generous amount of space inside both the freezer and refrigerator portions is much appreciated. Having the ice maker in the door enables us to keep quite a bit more in the freezer than we could in our previous refrigerator. The configuration of the shelves is nice. The one drawback is that the top shelf is too high to accommodate bottles of sparkling cider, but they can go in the door, if one's careful not to open it too quickly. The clear shelves and door bins make finding what's inside easy. I'm so happy with the refrigerator that I'm guilty of opening it on occasion just to admire the spacious interior.

New design with additional space.

The new configuration allows additional room that meets our needs. The new tray for the water and ice looks like it will clean up much nicer than the old refrigerator, as the tray is now stainless steel vs plastic that absorbed the water minerals causing discoloration.

Really Like Our New and Big Whirlpool Refrigerator
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband and I really like our new Whirlpool refrigerator. A service technician recommended that we purchase a Whirlpool refrigerator. His recommendation was helpful. This refrigerator is very large with a total of 28 cubic feet of space. For Easter 2024, I was able to store lots of food for our family gathering. There is plenty of room for our food. I like the ice and water dispenser. One of the features is the ice storage inside the freezer which is so easy to access. The ice storage is on the door, and you can simply pull the small door down to obtain ice cubes for a glass of cold water, etc.
There is one feature that we would like to have that is not part of model WRS588FIHZ is a "door-in -a- door". While doing research we noticed that some refrigerators made by other companies offer the "doo-in-a-door". This door which is on the front of the refrigerator side allows one to access 3 shelves of cold items without opening the entire refrigerator. We can live without it, but it would be nice to have.
All in all, we are very pleased with our new Whirlpool refrigerator.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unexpectedly needed a new unit when my old one developed a Freon leak and the freezer went warm. I had this same unit, just 12 years older. It was going to cost more to fix it than to buy a new unit. This new version is a little bigger and a little brighter on the inside. My only wish is that the door had a small compartment for butter and small items like the old one did. I ended up taking the one from the old unit and sticking it in the new one. I like the new second drawer in the freezer side also.
