brand new 30-inch Self-Cleaning Slide-In Gas Range broken
Comments about Whirlpool 30" Slide-In Gas Range - White on White:
I have "30-inch Self-Cleaning Slide-In Gas Range" installed by a builder. But this brand new appliance was broken on its 2nd year service. the oven can not heat up. called Whirlpool customer service. need to pay around $300 to repair. This is my first bad experience with a brand new appliance.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Avoid - Control Panel Keeps Failing

We moved into our new home a few months ago and this was the range that the previous owners had put in within the last 5 years when the redid the kitchen. Shortly after moving in the 9 stopped working, then one by one each number has failed. So I started going through all the documentation that the previous owner left Apparently this is not the first time this has failed. We have all of the manuals and instructions from this part being replaced. 2 control panels failing in less than 5 years, seems like really lousy product quality. I Was thinking of replacing the ERC to solve this but will probably buy a new non-whirlpool range.

I bought range two weeks ago and I love everything about it. The low profile look really goes well with my kitchen.The stove does everything that we expected.

We've had this stove for about a month and it has some very nice fetures. The grates are closer to the burner than many other stoves so we can use lower heat. The burners start out high and have a minimun range so they never go out. Our previous stove the flame started out low and it was possible to dial it down too far and the flame would go out and just release gas - not very safe. The oven heats evenly and I like that there are 3 racks. I also like the sealed burners because we do spill a lot. The porcelain is easy to clean and while the black will not show heat discloration like out previous white stove, it does look smudgy at times.

I bought this almost a year ago and had many glitches to work out. Service visits to resolve these issues were mostly helpful. We remodeled two kitchens at the same time, all with whirlpool appliances. All other appliances have worked well.

I bought this range 5 years ago. The only trouble that I have had was with the keypad. Excessive moisture will cause it to go out, and it did just that after one year. I did get it replaced and have not had a problem since. I am very careful now not to clean pad with water.

Our new home had this Whirpool stove. It is awesome i didnt know how much the difference was from my old stove until i used this Whirpool i would recommend to everyone we are so very happy with it.
Beware of the keypad.
I've enjoyed this range for almost exactly 6 years to the date of first use. Now the electronic keypad has stopped working. This makes it impossible to turn the oven on and thus no baking is possible. This is VERY frustrating!
Great Gas Stove

The new stove that came with our new house is great after 2 months of use. Only minor problem is cleaning the black top. It seems to leave a "smug" unless you are very careful
