I like the features because they are easy to understand and written so you can see them without the aid of glasses.

Purchased this 5 years ago and hated it since the day I used it!!! I hate the lid lock, and you cannot change anything once it starts. It's tangled and ruined long sleeved shirts, tangled them around the agitator, put holes in shirts, ruined curtains. Now I'm having trouble with it not spinning properly, and I can't even pay someone to come and look at it! I will not spend $100 to have someone come and diagnose the problem because I hate it so much. Please don't waste your money on it, plus ruining clothes!
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Lasted Only Three Years
By Fort Worth Happy Csmper
After three years, the balance started acting up. When my husband opened it up to check it out, he found parts wearing out (cheaply made) and rust from the bleach dispenser (which is used perhaps once a month.) It's not worth buying parts to repair and it's far from the quality of mechanical items in mom's Whirlpool. It was built to not last.
avoid this machine

After approx 2.7 years this machine is broke-needs a new gear. This is after 2.7 yrs of easy life. We are a two person household and did not place any heavy demands on this machine. The service tech said he has seen this problem on this model mutiple times. Got to go...shopping for a new washer!!

Ours just died on xmas eve...
I gave this washer machine 4 stars since it handled a heavy load for 5 years of use.My wife and her sister who we moved in with their kids used the machine around every other day.It saw heavy usage but now the transmission went out and will run around 456 dollars to fix. Much cheaper to buy a new one.

Broke After 2 Years
from Eagle Mountain, UT
Stopped locking, thus won't spin any more after a little less than 2 years.
Broke after 2 Years of use
from Bixby, OK
This washer's main computer board broke after 2 years of usage. Washer just kept restarting itself over and over again. Warranty is only good for 1 year. Wish they'd stand behind their products more. They sure don't make things like they used to. Very disappointed.
DON'T BUY IT - it sucks!

Ours is about 4 years old and it's never worked right. Now we've been told it's not even worth fixing so we're washer shopping again. You used to buy a decent washer and get at least 10 years out of it. I'm staying away from Whirlpool this time!
If I could give this negative stars I would

This is an expensive piece of garbage. My clothes come out with lint still on them. They do not smell clean and in fact, I wander if they even are. My blankets come out heavy and soaking wet, so much so that I have to repeat a rinse and drain cycle before I can place into the dryer. The machine is always off balance and it's so loud that my almost deaf grandmother who can't hear a thing wants to know what that noise is when she's halfway across the house each time I'm doing laundry. I've called whirlpool and they have sent a tech out who insisted it was I who did not know how to load a washer and that was causing all of the problems. I found this interesting since I am 37 and never encountered difficulty with a washing machine before. Our visit concluded when he insisted it was user error and went on his way. The next day, the washer was not even cycling, and I phoned whirlpool back. This time, there was a computer problem and there was no arguing about it. The technician came back out and reset the internal computer. The machine seemed to run more quietly for about a week, but went right back to it's old loud self. The only improvement I've noted since then is it does not move across the floor now while washing. I wish I never bought this thing and I can assure you I'll never buy another whirlpool product again nor would I recommend one.
