Clean clothes and lower water bill!

    By Gardenergal

Comments about Whirlpool 3.8 Cu. Ft. Top Loading Washer - White:

I purchased this washer a couple of months ago and have been very happy with it. It does take longer to wash a load than the machine I replaced but the money savings make that more than worth it. It is a great value for the price I paid.

I have had this washer about 5 weeks and like it. The only thing I don't like is it locks and I can't open it once it starts.

Comments about Whirlpool 3.8 Cu. Ft. Top Loading Washer - White:

We have been so happy with this washing machine. We were hesitant to go with an energy efficient washer because friends of ours complained about their clothes not being cleaned well enough, however that is not the case with this washer! We love it. Very happy with our purchase.

I bought this in July 2014. I am a massage therapist and I do my own sheets and I have two children. I do a lot of laundry. The dryer works like a charm.

Saves water by using less to wash with. Also clothes take less time to dry with the high speed spin.

I bought this washer a month ago. I was undecided due to the fact I was use to the older brands with an agitator. This washer is quiet, and actually does get clothes clean.

    Fits our needs

Comments about Whirlpool 3.8 Cu. Ft. Top Loading Washer - White:

I bought this this summer after quite a bit of research. I like the fact I can wash large items without them getting stuck on the agitator. I did not want a front load machine again. I would prefer that the lid not lock, but that is not a major item.

Good value for bare bones washer

Comments about Whirlpool 3.8 Cu. Ft. Top Loading Washer - White:

I was recently in the market for an HE washer. My dryer died to I wanted to replace both the washer and dryer. I didn't want a lot of bells and whistles or electronic controls since all that stuff just opens you up for more issues in my opinion. This was the best I thought I could get for the amount I was willing to spend. I have been using this washer for a few months now and I have to say, it works. I know other reviewers complain about the long wait time if you need to pause the wash. But I rarely need to get back in there once the wash has started. Yeah, a timer to know the approximate time you've got left would be nice. But at this price point, you're not going to find that. I am happy with the bare bones dials and there are plenty of wash choices to take care of my needs. Sure, it makes some funny noises that scare my cat but he's getting used to it and really, you just get used to it. I can't understand why people are actually complaining about it. It's not a big deal. A lot of washers do that now. And it's not too loud. Yes, it makes noise. But again, at this price point, you're not going to get a silent wash with all kinds of fancy stuff. Shortly after installing (myself) I thought it was making too much noise. I called for someone to check it out, thinking I did something wrong, and Whirpool came within a few days, free of charge. My washer is on ceramic tiles and it was on the edge of one. So, the guy who came checked out all kinds of things but it ended up just being a little off since it was on the grout line of the tile. He was very nice. And once, I overloaded it and it banged around something harsh. I wouldn't recommend it. Luckily, it was all user error. Overall, if you are looking for a bare bones washer that will clean your clothes sans fancy bells and whistles that you'll hardly ever use anyway at an affordable price, choose this one.
