Bad Burner Placement
from Freeport, Florida
Comments about Whirlpool 30.8125" Electric Cooktop - Stainless Steel:
I do not like the sizes of the burners. The 2 front ones should be 7 or 8 inch and the back ones could be one large one and one 6 inch.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Using my cooktop
from Greenville, MS
I am very pleased with my cooktop. The only problem that I have is cleaning. Soap and water will not get the smallest food or grease off. I had to buy a special cleaner and a blade to scratch off the contents on the stove even if they are not burned on.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

MY CHILDREN BOUGHT THIS STOVE FOR ME FOR CHRISTMAS AND I LOVE IT. I BOUGHT SOME GLASS STOVE TOP CLEANSER AND IT CLEANS GREAT. COOKS GREAT. BETTER THAN THE COIL ONE I HAD PREVIOUSLY.
from Memphis TN
This is my first smooth cooktop purchase. It is very pretty, but a little difficult to clean.
Love the white knobs and the outlined cooking area

If I saw this in a catalog , I would have never brought it..but it caught my Husband and My attention after viewing it in store. We agreed and we have received so many compliments! Brightens up the area *
Good basic cooktop at reasonable price
from Atlanta, GA
Chose this cooktop because it is simple, basic, and fit in the existing cutout to replace another Whirlpool cooktop that still worked, but cracked and ugly gray color. This black cooktop looks nice and does the job. Heats and cools relatively quickly--faster than previous models, I believe.
Disappointed in seran surface
from Sault Ste Marie, Ontario
I bought this black ceramic cooktop at Christmas and immediately we noticed that the black was very hard to keep clean. It showed every watermark, which was hard to wipe out. Then, after about a month, a small one inch scratch appeared, leaving a white unsightly mark on an otherwise super clean surface. The stove we had before this was white ceramic, and after five years it had some very minor scratches, which were black. In my opinion, the ceramic surface is of very poor quality, and the knobs feel like cheap plastic with rough edges.I would not recommend this cooktop to anyone else.

Visible scratch and watermarks

It is a great improvement over my old cooktop with exposed elements. The elements light immediately and the stove cooks much faster than the old one. Easy to clean but hard to get streak free. only problem I am having is finding a setting for simmering. Either too hot or not hot enough.
BLACK AS BLACK CAN BE
from Phoenix, Oregon
Works well but clean up in a nightmare when every single salt granule will show.Have found the trick to somehow make it shine. All in all, for the price, it is a good cooktop replacing one that was cracked.
Overall Good Performance
from St. Petersburg, FL
Had it about 1 month now and all seems to work great. One thing to change is that the control labels are very hard to read-too dark on a black cook top.
