Comments about Whirlpool 30" Double Electric Wall Oven - Black on Black:
I bought this oven about 3 months ago but have only had it installed about a month, because of a remodel.Like the oven pretty well but there are a couple of features that could be better, each ovens light should be separate instead of both coming on when you only need one of them. also the fan blowing so long to cool it off after use is really irritating . over all I do like it very much.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

This is nice oven if it works. I will not overload with the drama. My oven has not be working for about three weeks now. Whirlpool outsources the repair work to flamingo. Flamingo seems to just be a company that outsources to independent repair guys. The cell phone for my contact answers with another business. But in summary I have three appointments scheduled with flamingo to work on this. The first one they wanted to drop me because I did not respond back to a phone call in ten minutes, the second time the accidentally scheduled the appointment for a month later. After hours of screaming they showed. Now they were supposed to show today and they clam they never got the appointment from whirlpool. And when I called whirlpool sorry all we can do is reschedule you with flamingo.I love the stove but if you need warranty repair make sureto go with someone more reliable than whirlpool. My ovens issue has not even been figured out yet,
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
fan to noisy

Love the double oven. Truly like the convection cooking! You have to get use to the sound from the fan cooling the oven off in the convection oven.

Beautiful but Loud!

This oven is beautiful and cooks evenly. However, the fan is extremely loud. My mom and sister both have newer convection ovens that are very quiet. This oven fan is not only loud while cooking, it runs for quite awhile while the oven is cooling down after it has been shut off.

Bought this three weeks ago. Had a Jenn air before this and the fans were much quieter. Also having used the oven 15 times or so, there is still a strong chemical smell form the exhaust.
Cooks Like An Oven Should

A nice looking oven with big bright doors/windows that lets you see inside easily. The only negative piece is that the oven fan runs a long time after you shut off the oven. On the positive side, it is a calming noise, kind of like wind blowing
Good but Loud

This oven is louder when you turn it off than what it is when you use it. It is sharp looking in our kitchen...but it is loud. It heats and cooks well...but it is loud. After you have used the oven and turn it off, there is a cooling fan that kicks in for 20-30 minutes. If you didn't know it was your oven, you would think there was a major windstorm going on outside.Between my dishwasher, washing machine and dryer, my oven is the loudest appliance of them all....and this is after you turn the oven off.We had a service tech come out and they said that there was nothing wrong with the oven and that this is how it is designed. We asked Whirlpool Customer Service if they could help and whether they had a quieter fan. We would pay extra to replace the fan. They do not offer a quieter fan and the noise is not a warranty problem, so they did not help. Fortunately, HH Gregg has a 30 day return policy with restocking fee. We are returning the oven in exchange for one that does not sound like a hurricane in our kitchen...and paying the extra restocking fee to eliminate the annoyance.
Can be better

We got our original, previous model, Whirlpool double oven about 8 years ago when we moved into our new home. My wife was very excited to use it and it has been a great asset for our family. Recently a computer board failed on it and the repair man said that Whirlpool didn't carry the necessary parts to fix it. It was very disappointing to know that after only 8 years parts weren't available that could repair a VERY expensive appliance for a few hundred dollars. Instead we had to purchase a whole brand new $2000+ oven. Then it took a lot longer to get it to our house than it should have, nearly a month! Did they have to build it after they received our order? We didn't have an oven for about 8 weeks and it wasn't fun! We love the oven, but we're just not so happy the company didn't keep repair parts on hand for very long. Too busy making fancy new "smart improvements" that don't really improve the cooking experience all that much. Oh well I guess it's nice we have a nice oven to cook with.
