Evaluation of Whirlpool stove. Not happy with it.
from Linden, Michigan
I am not happy at all with my stove. I have not been able to use my oven until today 10-21-16 and then it takes forever to reach the desired temperature. When the timer goes off saying it is the temperature I need, I have to wait at least 5 more minutes to reach the correct temperature. I have had a repair man come out and he replaced the clock control and also the oven temperature sensor. I really feel with a brand new stove this shouldkk not need to be replaced. I bought because I had one for 19 years and never had a problem with it. Right now I feel I wish I wished I had bought a different name brand.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

we have not had a gas cooking stove in over 20 years and are very pleased with this whirlpool one that wehave in our new home....well built easy to use and looksgorgeous
I bought 4 whirlpool appliances. This is the only one I think could be a liitle better made. The warming drawer is very thin metal. Also it should come with a griddle like other brands do. I wasn't aware of this at the time I purchased it since in the store there was one on there. I returned to ask and was told no that someone must have put it on there from another model.

Love the convection feature on this oven.
Nice but with a couple qualms.
Pros: sleek design, both convection & regular oven feature, different burner sizes (with simmer option)Cons: labels on stove knobs came off after only 6 months of use, although there are 5 burners, you can't put 2 large saucepans on the same side as there isn't enough room.. so when you're cooking with large cookware you can realistically only use 2 burners at a time.

Very happy with my purchase!
Cooktop is great, but have been unable to use the oven

The cooktop is awesome. Love the 5 burners, love the grate. The problem is there is an unholy chemical odor emitting from the oven after about 10 minutes. I was told this was oil and would burn off after I used it a few times. I have turned this oven on 25 times at this point on temperatures above 400 degrees for 30 minutes. The chemical odor has not abated, so we are unable to use it. I am celiac and am lactose intolerant. Since it's difficult for me to eat out, not having a working oven is much more than an inconvenience. I'm pretty upset about this situation, to say the least.A repairman from the appliance store from which we bought the range came to look at it today. He smelled the odor as well at around 15 minutes and said he doesn't know why the odor persists or what's causing it, and that he can't fix it. Now I have to call the retailer and get a replacement. The wait time is over a week. So by the time the next one arrives, it will have gone 3 weeks at least without a working oven. I hope to God the next one does not have the same problem, but if it does I will never buy Whirlpool brand products again. Let me say I was really excited about this oven. Big window, big interior, convection--I was stoked. It probably works great--if you are able to use it.
This is a nice gas range. I am still learning how to use it but am quite pleased.
Love this range! Works perfectly, is plenty big and looks beautiful. I have had so many compliments on it. Now if I could only become a better cook!
