Comments about Whirlpool 30" Single Electric Wall Oven - White on White:
The oven is too loud. It sounds like a high pitched wind storm. Did not notice how quiet all my other ovens were until I got this one
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Looks and works great

I replaced my oven when it died with this one. Some of the new ovens are so difficult to figure out the controls it's crazy. This oven is simple, easy to use and seems to cool off pretty quickly. Looks nice and I have been slowly upgrading all of my appliances to the Whirlpool brand.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Sounds like a jet plane when it's cooling off!

I am very unhappy with the noise level of this oven. When it's cooling down it is very noisy. Other people have commented on this when they've been here. None of my previous ovens have done this.Otherwise the oven performs very well. I'm happy with the convection feature.

I was drawn to this wall oven because of the internal fan that I thought would provide the even baking of a convection oven without the high cost. We installed it ourselves, and that was easy enough. The appliance looks great! The first dozen or so times we used it, it took at least 15 minutes to heat up to 350 degrees. We've been using it for about 8 months now, and while the pre-heat time has decreased, it still seems to take longer to reach baking temperature than the dinosaur that we retired. Also, when the door is opened during baking, even for a short time, the temperature readout indicates a drop of 100-150 degrees and the oven begins the pre-heat process again to reach the desired temperature.Learning to bake in the oven has required trial and error. The oven will evenly bake multiple racks of cookies without the need to rotate pans. Baking one pan at a time takes some practice. It definitely matters where in the oven the pan is placed. A pan placed too high or too low off center or a pan too far forward or backward on the rack will result in undercooked or burnt food. It seems that exactly center of the oven is the only place to bake evenly. In general, food always requires at least its maximum cooking time, or more, to reach desired doneness. After the oven is turned off, the fan continues to run for about 15 minutes. Though I've gotten used to the noise level, it initially seemed pretty loud - like a range hood on medium or high.

This oven has a cooking timer that automatically shuts down oven when time is up so the food does not get burned or overdone. It has a Sabbath mode which is great so when we prepare for Sabbath dinner, the oven has preset settings where the prepared food will be turned on and off at preset times so the dinner will not be over done. The rapid heat setting for when setting temperature heats oven before food is prepared to be placed in oven. Installation was simple as well. I was able to install it myself it was basically a plug and play system (as long as the oven fits the cabinet space provided).
Works great but loud

Got it several weeks ago and love it. Cooks much faster than old oven.

I love the big window and the easy panel for setting temperature and timer. The only part I am not fond of is the fan. It's at the bottom of the oven and it sends air out from there. You also hear the fan the whole time the oven is on, and even for a while afterwards while it is cooling down. I would prefer to not have that extra noise. But, the oven does bake evenly and quickly.
