Comments about Whirlpool 4.2 Cu. Ft. Front Loading Washer - White:
I bought this washer a couple of weeks ago to replace the same model I had for over 10 yrs. Love the speed and efficiency. Great product. Dependable design! This unit practically dries the clothes it spins so fast making the dry time much less and saves money!
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Had 4 repairs in 4.5 years - NOT WORTH IT
By Frustrated Consumer
from Kenosha, WI
We bought this washer 4.5 years ago when we moved into our home. I did extensive research and for the price point, this was the highest rated washer. Within 1 year we had to have the seal gasket replaced, within 2 years we had 2 other major repairs and now, we have been getting error codes. Had a repairman out twice! The temp sensor is bad and the control board is bad. Replaced both and still - it isn't working! This is the worst purchase we've made for our house. Now we are looking for a new washer and having to spend money we don't have! NEVER AGAIN!
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I bought this two months ago and the choice couldn't be better, saves me time washing all the clothes in the house, and after one hour in the store comparing all the brands available this one was the best selection.
Not good enough
from Chestertown Maryland
These came with the home we just purchased. I thought it would be nice to have a new washer and dryer with so many features, etc., but I find it just isn't good enough. The washer does not spin the water out of the clothes properly and it takes forever! So much electric is spent on hours of washing and drying - that just isn't energy efficient! The dryer, for it's part, senses the clothes as dry - but they are not completely dry - so back in they go. . .Again, hours of drying. It's just the two of us and I spend all day doing our few clothes. . . Not something I would ever buy for myself, and we will be going back to a traditional top load when we can afford to buy replacements.

Needed to replace my old stackables and bought this a month ago. I am quite pleased. Slightly noisier that my old set, but that is probably due to the fact that these are larger and I had to dismantle the old cabinet they were in to get the new ones in...
Well designed front loader
By The Mom
from Northbridge, MA
Previously owned a GE (never again!) The Whirlpool is well designed regarding eliminating the water near the gasket of the door. After I run the drain and spin, there is no water in that area; don't need to dry it out. Still leave the door open...very satisfied with the way it washes the clothes as well.

Love my Duet washer <3
from Miami, Fl.
I love this new washer. Place your soap & softner, choose your laundry kind and go! Love the tumble fresh cycle. The thing g I love the most so far is how much $$ I have saved, not just in detergent & softener, but electricity and water. Also, VERY quiet. I'm glad I changed to a front loader :^)
