Comments about Whirlpool 4.3 Cu. Ft. Front Loading Washer - Chrome Shadow:
I had a whirlpool duet front load for 10 years no major issues. Finally our front load spun its final spin. I called a whirlpool certified person and they explained to me the issue I had was normal wear and tear and recommend to stick with the same brand. I was able to find another duet kind of an upgrade to my old one . Love it it's quite and don't even know it's in a spin cycle it won't move !!! Hooray for perfecting that my floor thanks you.

This washer replaces a Whirlpool Duet. In spite of article stating that the older models stackable drawers not fitting; they do.
Great choice for a front load washer

This gets our clothes extremely clean and so much more than our older washer. Love the different cycles and the sensing function. The only reason that I didn't give it a 5 is because there are a few features that are not as intuitive as they should be (delay, pause to add clothes, etc)

it's a washer that washes
By Big Trev

Despite multiple reports over the years about front-loading washers developing mold, we bought this on the experience of family who has an older version and hasn't had an issue. We also needed a larger wash basin because of the size of my clothes, and because we tend to wash more items at one time (instead of fewer items more often). The washer we had previously (a top loader) would frequently stop because it detected an uneven load. I swear that it was just temperamental at me, since my wife could throw just about anything at it and not have a problem... Having said that, this washer has been nothing but solid. I was a little surprised that it just adds water and sloshes it around, instead of submerging the clothes and cavitating them. I didn't think it was as good as top loaders, but my concerns were put to rest after the first load. We leave the door open a bit after the load is done to allow airflow (to prevent molding).

I like the machine except for one thing. Even on 'extra fast' spin cycle, my clothes are still wet and I have to put my wash through two drying cycles but the serviceman told me that my washer was okay. I put many loads through the 'drain and spin' cycle on the washer and you will hear water draining but they are still pretty wet when I take them out. It is a quiet machine which I really enjoy and I would like the machine if I did not have wet clothes after it washes.

Wonderful products - superior to all other washer and dryer products - even the high rated Samsung
from Kingsport, tn
Excellent machine very quite and easy to use. Replacing a samsung that was purchased a couple months ago that had a serious vibration. Since the model couod not be found we decided to go with a different brand completely.

I've had it for one month and so far, I like it. It spins to the point your clothes are much drier than other machines I've had. This reduces the amount of drying needed in the dryer and hence saves energy. I don't like the beeping sound and would like to turn it off but no way to do that.
The jury is still out on this one!

I purchased my whirlpool washer roughly four weeks ago to replace my whirlpool duet washer which had given me 14, worry free, years of service. About two weeks after my purchase i began to hear a noise in the washer and had to call for a repairman. The repairman found the unit was making an intermittent grinding noise when starting and sited the drain pump as the culprit... a replacement drain pump has been ordered and will be installed upon receipt.

Had this machine about a month. Has every possible setting you could need. Simple to use. Uses very little water with great results. Clothes come out almost dry. Tumble Fresh setting lets you leave finished wash without worrying about wrinkling or clothes sticking together.Superior machine.
