Comments about Whirlpool 4.5 Cu. Ft. Top Loading Washer - White:
I don't usually take the time to write a review, but if it helps someone else it is worth it. The washing machine is large, clean looking and energy saving. That is why we bought it. The unfortunate part is that my clothes never smell clean. Weather the water level is too low or the rinse too short, I can't tell. More soap or fabric softener makes no difference. I have left a batch in over night by accident and reran the entire load to make sure nothing was sour. Coming out of the dryer everything still had a slight smell of sour. I just can't understand why. The spin cycle has to be delicate or everything is spun so hard that your clothes are a massive wrinkled mess. I would never recommend this to anyone. I have owned Whirlpool in the past and have been satisfied. This is frustrating and costly! Buyer beware!
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

So Far So Good
I'd actually give this a 4.5 if I could - almost perfect. Washes well, gets clothes very clean, runs quietly. My only complaint so far is that occasionally bulky loads like quilts/blankets don't spin out all the water so you have to readjust everything and respin. Other than that I'm a happy camper. This thing is huge and easily washes 4x the clothes on a single load that my old one could. Get you one.

Whirlpool® Cabrio® Platinum 4.5 cu. ft. HE Top Load Washer
from APEX, NC
Great machine washes way better then the side loader I once had, clothes are much cleaner, large size drum, way bigger than I thought. I found this to be an excellent buy. I am happy with this machine and would recommend to anyone looking to purchase.

Whirlpool does not cover warranty
from McAlester, OK
I bought a Cabrio in August 2015. I found after I bought it that it only puts 2 inches of water in bottom on a regular cycle, most of clothes are still dry when cycle is complete, never got washed. You have to use the deep water cycle to get enough water. But my issue is that my Cabrio no longer works, the main circuit card is dead and the washer stopped working about 3 minutes into a cycle. I called Whirlpool and they said it would take 3 -10 days to find a repairman. When I called back after 4 days they said there are no authorized repairmen in the area so they are calling the warranty void since I must live in a remote area 25,000 people. That if I want it fixed I need to pay for the repair. This is a full coverage one year warranty that at 6 months Whirlpool refused to honor. I bought my washer locally at a major retailer. I know there are service people in town but Whirlpool has decertified them to work on Whirlpool. I guess what what I am saying is Whirlpool does not care about the customer once the sale has been made. I have made contact with Whirlpool 5 times and I get a statement like a typed statement that each person just reads to me, even the manager said the same thing. So, Do not buy anymore Whirlpool products until they start backing what they sell.

This washing machine does not get a single item I put in it even remotely clean. I swear I put some things in there that come out dirtier - and I'm not exaggerating. All of my dark clothes have big white nasty looking blotches all over them. I end up running everything through at least two times at which point, I might have well bought the old skool fill-it-with-water washing machine because that does a heckofa lot better than this piece o' junk.
