Comments about Whirlpool 7.4 Cu. Ft. Electric Dryer - White:
This a new purchase for me, so I haven't been using this dryer for very long, but I so far I love it. It has many different settings so you can really customize the dry cycle according to your clothes. I am able to dry my delicates no problem. I love the anti-wrinkle feature, so if I cannot unload the clothes right away, the dryer does a few spins every so often to prevent wrinkles.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

This is our first purchase of a front load dryer, and we have used this one for 8 months. It was chosen due to our need for a long vent dryer--the venting system runs through our slab for about 40 feet. This dryer advertises to handle up to 160 feet of venting. However, this dryer only dries well if I use the Heavy Duty or the Bulky cycle. For gentle dry items, I must use normal and keep a close eye on it. Gentle drying does nothing for delicates--it has to go to normal. Sometimes, the dryer feels as if there is moisture inside (and smells like it as well). Every time the dryer is used, it warns us to clean the filter. It is always clean however. We have taken steps to ensure our vent is not stopped up and it seems to be open. Bottom line, it dries better than the last dryer, but it is a pain to work with--it definitely does not work properly for our particular situation. Lastly, this one has no light inside the dryer like my previous dryer, and I miss that. I didn't realize that was an option--seems fairly basic to me that you would need a light in the dryer.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Not what I expected

This came with our new home, the dryer is very noisy, and have already had to call for service. Not heating on the Normal/Medium setting.

Have had unit for 4 months and love it. The start up music when unit is turned on is the only thing I would design to be an off/on mode.

Bought almost a year ago. No complaints.

We received our Whirlpoo Duet dryer about a month ago and have loved its performance. A clean, sleek panel makes operation easy, and we love the wrinkle prevention feature. It's the best value in its price range.
Whirlpool dryer works great!

Very happy overall with purchase. Only recommendation is that I could not find a way to turn off the animated sounds for when the dryer turns on, starts cycles, or changes settings. It can be load at night when others are sleeping. This is a great unit otherwise

Stackable-not best option
By Jo Curry

If you use as a stackable it is not fabulous. The controls are a challenge and not easy to manage. Particularly changing the times on a timed dry. The controls are not sensitive enough to manage, I am 5'6" so being short is not an issue. The engineers designed these for people standing in front but the sales people sell it as a stackable.
