It is a gas dryer alright.
from San Marcos, CA
Not much to say. It is a gas dryer that dries clothes as it is supposed to. It is relatively quiet except for the slightly annoying sound effects every time the knobs are turned. Something I can't disable because it is an option that I didn't buy. This unit replaced my 15-year old gas dryer from Kenmore, which started to make some odd sounds...probably the motor or the bearings. Let's hope this unit lasts just as long.

My old one gave out in the middle of wash day. It was too easy to pick this dryer as we had already bought the Duet washer a year ago. Great unit and I especially love the design of the lint catcher. We have two dogs and the lint on our clothes will choke a horse. This dryer is extremely efficient and dries fully and quickly. What more can you ask for.
Duet- gas dryer
from Westland Michigan
So far I've only run 2 dozen loads through this dryer. It runs very quietly. My duet is stacked atop the matching washer which makes loading and unloading convenient. (Of course I'm 6 feet tall so seeing the dials at the top of the unit is easy enough)All kinds of pre-settings that I keep trying out which is great. Being able to select your own variations makes things even better. The display is bright and clear. Very nice having the display telling me how much time still remains.Only thing that I'd like to be able to change is the end of cycle tone. It chimes out loudly and is pleasant to hear, no complaint there. I just wish I could set it to "annoying" mode where I have-to go and turn it off. In other words, I forget I was running clothes after I hear the chime and get distracted by other things. I'd prefer to be 'forced' to have to tend to the machine and finish my tasks completely.Great dryer !

More than expected
By Ken and Mary

Pleasantly surprised with results. Purchased under duress when our previous washer and dryer quit after 16 years. Many friends had comments and recommended reviews--which weren't the most flattering. Our experience has been great and we are glad and extremely happy with our choice and the results. Clothes are cleaner and dryer efficiency makes us elated. Results far exceeded our expectations. Learning curve exists but we were noticing cleaner results and quicker drying in the first loads.

Whirlpool Gas Dryer
By Amanda C
from Randolph, MA
I bought the Whirlpool gas dryer about two weeks ago. The installation was easy, the plumber had it up and running in less than 15 minutes. I have it in my basement and sometimes I forget I'm doing laundry because it's so quiet. I like the ecomode option so if you're not in a rush to get your clothes done you can save some energy. The moisture sensor on this dryer is amazing. My old LG would leave noticeably wet clothes in the dryer and with this dryer the clothes are nice and dry in only about 1/2 hr on low. It's wonderful.
Nice machine, but has electronic issues
By New Purchaser

I am very happy with the performance and capacity of the machine, but when I turn it to Econoboost on certain settings the display flashes with what seems to be an error. Also the lint filter doesn't catch the lint as well as I would have hoped. I also feel the machine eas expensive.
