Comments about Whirlpool Duet 7.4 Cu. Ft. Gas Dryer - White on White:
Have had the dryer 4 mos. only and my only complaints are that the moisture sensor seems to leave me with clothes that are too damp. The clothes take forever to dry this way. It's difficult drying delicate clothes. The very loud signals that go off more than once are annoying. If there is a turn-off, I haven't found it.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Great... so much better than before

First of all, the front loading system is so much helpful because my parent use it mostly and it makes taking the clothes out of dryer so much easier than top loading. Although some people might have different opinion, the front loading helps quiet a bit. Then, there are the easy dust removal. Haven't had the dryer too long, but the removal of the dust are so much easier than the previous product we used. Then there are the control for the dryer. The dryer has a super easy control. After turning, we just press some buttons and can even turn time manually. (Some features are also offered in the basic, but this model has so much more and still easy enough to use) Although it could have been done on the last dryer we had, it took more strength to turn, not entirely reliable after long time of use, and broke easily. The fact that the control is in the front is also less hassle then having it on top because it does not just peak out of sight by itself (the control), which sometimes happen with dryer with control on top. Lastly, on performance, it takes about 1/5th the time that the old dryer used to take. I know it was a simpler model, but still.... 1/5th the time and less annoying noise at the end of the dryer cycle? Worth every penny spent.

I bought this dryer since I was a victim of Sandy and had to rebuild. Well, this is one good thing that come out of it. I love my new dryer.

I purchased this new dryer along with my new washer. I didn't really need a new dryer, as I thought my old one worked just fine (but purchased it since I wanted a matching washer/dryer pair and my old washer broke). Boy am I glad I went with the new Whirlpool dryer too. I didn't realize how inefficient and slow my old one was until I discovered this new one dried a load of laundry in HALF the time it took for my old one. LOVE IT with our busy lifestyle and family of 5!
I LOVE my new dryer!!

I absolutely LOVE this dryer!! The large capacity drum is perfect for large, bulky items. I love that it has adjustable settings for bulky items that completely dries the whole load (I would have had to run it through twice in our old dryer).
Unreliable - Don't waste your money!

I purchased one of these Whirlpool Duets 12 months and 17 days ago so it’s now out of warranty and it just went down hard - Needless to say the timing is ominous. I've replaced the Thermal Fuse AND Thermistor which is typically supposed to resolve the PF code the unit is providing - neither worked. Needless to say having a unit that's been installed for 12.5 months (Hard Down) is pathetic. As I've researched this issue it's become clear Whirlpool products have quality issues…
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Too many bells! Literally!

Sorry not happy with the dryer. It preforms well, but has a few features that are annoying: First, when you turn it on it has a song, when you select it has a song, when its completed its cycle it has a song. Drives me insane (not needed.) Second, you can easily turn the machine on and off by accident by leaning up against it. You have to have the lock button on most of the time. I've turned it off by accident a few times while it was drying just reaching into the cabinet. Lastly, the Lint easily drops past the screen (should have been tested) Sorry, but honest Karen
