Simple and quiet, compact and efficient
from Halifax, NS, Canada
Comments about Whirlpool 2.0 Cu. Ft. Front Loading Washer - White:
I've only been using this machine for a month, but it's super simple to operate, the timer is a great feature to plan your schedule around. The machine is very quiet, compact and energy efficient compared to other products I looked at. So far so good, let's hope it continues.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Worst washing machine ever invented!!
By Very unhappy Whirlpool customer
from Vancouver, BC
We have had nothing but problems with the machine not draining, stopping mid-cycle, etc. I've had to call the repair technical a few times. It seems that if you wash anything larger than a pair of pants, it sucks the clothing in and gets clogged, which means having to call a technician. Just recently we started having problems and nothing is stuck so we aren't even sure what to do this point. For shame, Whirlpool, selling such a badly designed machine. If I could give this a 0 rating, I would.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Small but mighty
from Midland, TX
The machine washes well. The drum looks small at first but can handle a king size blanket and sheets or a couple of large jeans and T-shirts. The wash time varies with cycle choice but it compares to a large household machine. It's also very quiet. This is my 2nd washer like this and I am happy with it.
Ongoing problems with this washer
from Vancouver, BC Canada
I purchased a this washer three years ago, as part of a washer/dryer combo because it was Whirlpool (have had good experience with your fridges, stoves, dishwashers) and because it fits in the laundry closet of my condo. I started having problems within two months, related to balancing the load, draining and failing to go in to the spin mode. I have had several service visits, and most recently, although the test cycle completes without any problems, the washer will not go into the spin cycle when it is set on the normal or any other cycle. The service man does not have any idea of what to do now..... the computer he says is functioning but is not indicating that there is any problem. Model number is WFC700VW1 and serial number is CD20604623. Very unhappy with what I had hoped would be a reliable washer. don't know what to do to fix this!
Whirlpool can do better
from Pompano Beach
Have this washer since april 2014. Has been repaired 2 times because each time it doesn't dry spin anymore and have to remove the laundry completely wet. The program board has been replaced and the second wash it did it again. I am waiting now 5 days to get a technician, luckily I have a Service Contract, but it is still a nuisance.
Suitable for two retirees
from Newcastle, On
A bit smaller than my old Maytag, but uses much less soap, less water, and is much quitter.
My machine came with the purchase of my home. However it's been constant issues. Within the first year the motor gave out and was replaced because it was within warranty. The spin cycle does not work properly with small loads, the self diagnos provided on the manual doesn't send. Without warranty and no obvious error code I have to pay for a technician to come and check it, not to mention the cost for any repairs. Extended warranty wasn't an option for us. It's just been a very frustrating machine to have and I know many other neighbours that have had the same machine installed in their homes with similar problems.

Drain and Spin issues
from Napa, Ca.
I purchased this washer less than a year ago. I was pleased with it until recently it has stopped mid cycle flashing A10. I have had to override the cycle to drain and spin just to finish the load, taking over an hour and a half to complete. After reading other reviews I've noticed some are having the same issue. As of now I will not recommend Whirpool products due to this problem.
Worst washer I have ever owned!
from Stoneham, MA
I purchased this washer because of space limitations. I have had it for just over a year and have had 4 repair visits in the last 10 days because it will not spin out the water. It is by far the worst washer I have ever owned. Fortunately I took out an extended warranty but that doesn't do much good when nobody seems able to repair it. I bought an old fashioned clothes horse today so I guess I will be doing things the old fashioned way and hand wringing my clothes!

Just the right size for our motorhome. Easy to operate and water saving. Nice mid-size loads.
