Sold American Made Appliance
from Sacramento, CA, United States
Though it takes about 70 seconds to start, and there's a lot of options I fear could go wrong, once I got to understand the washer it's been very solid. I do the quick wash which takes a half hour. I like the fact its American made.
great value in a small size

When I bought an apartment sized washing machine I thought I would have to give up the efficiency and great cleaning power of a full sized appliance. I was very pleasantly surprised to find not only an exceptional ability to clean but quiet and compactness. You gave me much more than I ever expected.
Great Compact Multi-Optioned Unit But Too High Tech and Pricey to Maintain
from Chicago, IL, United States
This is a great compact unit and perfect for condo living. If you don't have much room and need the front load feature, or, don't prefer the agitator - this is it! It is also simple to stack the matching dryer unit on top of with a kit. The wife loves the "quick wash" cycle! However, that cycle is pretty much all we seem to use. Although the purchase sits well with me, while being the first washing/drying machines my and wife and I have ever purchased, based on our washing habits and only using the quick wash cycle (as we're always on the go) - this is probably "more" machine than we really needed. Furthermore, the additional cycles and options may possibly be common on most machines, but I feel we could have purchased a set of units with less "bells and whistles" that are more cost-effective to maintain. Moreover, as I researched replacement parts for this unit (attempting to be the prepared handy-man I am) I noticed that parts for this unit was not inexpensive, specifically, the 3 or 4 electronic control modules that basically give the washer its every day functional use. Nevertheless, the wife did not want an agitator and liked the front load feature, so, that is what we bought - it was really our only option, thus, making Whirlpool's WFC7500VW a great fit for us.
Nothing But Trouble
By Aaron J
We have been using this machine for the past three years. We have had intermittent f-06 error codes pop up and go away for no reason. It has been a constant pain to get this thing to start by pressing the start button. Sometimes we can go a whole day trying to start the thing and it won't start, then it will be fine for a few days, then back to not starting. Finally the f-06 error codes have come back and we cannot get it to start up again. Judging by the reviews and info available online, this is not uncommon for this machine even as new as ours. Do not recommend this machine at all.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Super fit for a small space
from Boca Raton, FL, United States
We bought it because a combination washer/dryer in a small closet that we had inherited in our new town house was simply lousy. The dryer cycle relied on spinning, not hot air and venting. The unit also leaked. Larger conventional units were too large for the space we had available. We looked around for a bit and found Whirlpool was the most cost effective compact washer and dryer system solution, tied to the vent, and has been very effective.
Good for tighter Spaces
from Briarcliff Manor, NY, United States
I bought this about a year ago as it was able to fit in my laundry closet. I live in a condominium so space is a bit more limited. After 11 months, it began to make a sound so I called up the service people. They came and fixed the pump fast. All was covered by the warranty since this happened before the one-year anniversary of purchase.
