Comments about Whirlpool 2.0 Cu. Ft. Front Loading Washer - White:
We bought this stackable washer a couple of years ago. The first 6 months or so it worked fine. Since then we have had nothing but problems. The water would not drain. The repairman came and fixed it with s new part and a few days later we had the same problem. Now the washer loses power and we have had problems with the door latching properly since day one. The repairman said to be careful with shutting the door as it could break the latch. Would not recommend buying.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Perfect for our 5th wheel trailer
from Livingston, Texas
Had this and matching dryer installed in our new trailer before we picked it up from the dealer. Works great, multiple settings, easy to operate as is the matching dryer.

Have this washer in one of my leased apartments and I am getting constant complaints about it. Either the spin cycle is weak or the certain cycles won't turn on. It leaves waves clothes saturated, even when I put in just a load of socks. I had service technician out and they basically told me it might be a motor control board. I'm not taking that ride. Will not purchase another Whirlpool.

So, I'd like to start this review by saying this is my second time having to write this review, because the first one was never posted. (Could it be the one star rating..?) Don't worry, though, Whirlpool, I hate this washer so much, I will keep checking and reviewing until you finally post my honest review!!!Below is the original review I wrote:This is truly the worst washer I have ever owned. We remodeled our kitchen, and decided to go with these under-the-counter models. Now I'm stuck with a custom designed space for a washer I can't stand. At first, I thought it was amazing. But after about a year, the washer stopped draining. So about 50% of the time the clothes would still be soaking wet when the cycle ended. I have literally resorted to hand wringing the clothes. When we finally had a Whirlpool "repair man" come out, he told us that Whirlpool knew the main board stopped reading or some such BS, and we should "unplug it and plug it back in because sometimes that helps." SERIOUSLY!? He then advised us to buy a new washer, with the warranty because then Whirlpool would have to replace the new washer when IT broke down. So, needless to say I HATE this washer. What kind of company continues to make a product that they know has issues and will fail? Do not waste your money... I wish we hadn't.

Just over a year old!
from Sk, Can
I bought this washing machine and dryer combo just over a year ago. Over the past two months the spin cycle does not engage, all our laundry comes out soaking wet. We try the cycle over again and nothing happens, still comes out soaking wet. I am afraid after reading some reviews that I am going to have to sink a fortune into this machine. Whirlpool should stand behind their products!
not worth the money ):

Being a single person the Whirlpool front load compact washer was a perfect match for the small space in my bathroom. I have now owned the washer for three years quite a few things have gone wrong with it since I bought it. I only use the quick wash cycle, the other cycles do not work anymore. None of the options work such as delay, pre wash, extra rinse.... If I wash towels or jeans they come out soaking wet because of the spin cycle not working. The cycle does not always start when pressed and there is a long delay in the start when it does start. Over all I do regret buying this washer. I have read other very similar reviews. I do not like writing negative reviews but I felt it was necessary so others do not spend money on a washer that should be better.
Flimsy piece of .....
from south bend, indian
we purchased a condo that was less then a year old that included this washing machine/dryer. we have never been able to turn this machine on with one try. the buttons are so flimsy that often when pushed they go inside the panel and get stuck. the door latch needs to be slammed in order for it to stay closed. we have owned the condo now for two years, however spend limited time here so we have maybe done 20 loads of laundry in total. the buttons no longer work and the estimate to replace the control panel is close to $800. when i looked up the replacement parts, to no surprise the parts are either out of stock or on back order. TAKE NOTE DO NOT PURCHASE THIS MACHINE. you can't get a better sign that this machine is a lemon then realizing replacement parts are not available. the machine sells for $799-$650. IF the panel was available it would be $379 for the part and who knows what the serviceman would charge. can't wait to get rid of this piece of junk. advised the condo management to not put these in their next development.
Best washer I have ever used.thank you

We bought this washer new with our new fifth wheel. We have had it for about 1 1/2 years. The pump has been replaced, the motor control board twice, door switch, and other parts we can't remember. We have not been able to use it for months. The repair tech would come out, diagnose the problem, leave and order the part. He would come back in a few weeks with the new part. Sometimes it would be fixed but if not the whole process would start again!! Now after working two months, it has broken down again!! Whirlpool should just give us a new one, since this is a BIG lemon. This is very frustrating!!!!!
Nice size but it doesn't work
from Show Low Az
We bought this for our 5th wheel 3 days before the end of the summer season. We tried the washer before we returned to,our winter residence and it didn't work. It would go through the wash cycle and would not rinse and spin. We called the tech out and he couldn't fix it. He the said we have to call Whirlpool. Since we were leaving for the winter we had to wait until we come back in the spring.
