Horrible Waste of Money
from Harrisburg, PA
The dryer takes nearly 2 hours to dry 2 shirts. (I'm calling for service as soon as I can get a day at home.) The washer lid stays up and you have to press a release button each time to close it. So annoying. I don't see any EnergyStar labels. The washer tub is so small that 1 pair of jeans and 1 tee is all that fits or 1 sheet. I needed the 24" width so the person buying this for me had no other options. A waste of money because I'll have to sell this even if they get the dryer working and get something else. The only use I can think of for this is if someone has an upstairs nursery and bath where you're washing SMALL baby clothes all the time.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

This is actually my second until, it replaced a 10-year-old until that took a beating and kept on ticking far longer than I expected. I checked out the alternatives in a local appliance store chain and could find one reason not o stick with the Whirlpool. It fits into a really narrow closet, it does a great job, especially on towels and sheets, and the vibration is tolerable on lower floors. You do have to get the balancing right and make sure the legs are properly attached. I'm a happy camper and will be for the next decade.
does the job

i ;needed washer dryer on main floor and put this unit in bathroom. it does the job but is noisy and occasionally leaks. I didnt realize I would not be able to run washer and dryer at same time.
Perfect for me

This requires no bending or stooping to get clothes in or out. I am single so perfect for smaller loads but large enough to wash bedding.

I have been using a couple of months and the first time using a stackable unit. You just have to get used to doing smaller loads. If you do not have the space for the other size this is great.

I finally got an appliance that I actually love,, compact fits into my closet and actually cleans the clothes and linens. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to enjoy your product!

My old unit was original to the house (1992) and parts were no longer available. When it started leaking rusty water, it was time to replace. I chose the Whirlpool based on its dimensions, but it turned out to be a great little set anyway. It is a bit noisier than my OLD one, but maybe it is working harder to get my laundry clean. I wash and dry most clothing on the delicate cycle and its great that the dryer will run until the clothes are actually dry, based on my choice of setting. I didn't have that choice on the old one and would often have to run it again 1-2 more times. I also appreciate that the surface of the washer when closed allows for more storage of items. I only have a very narrow utility closet. The installers knocked the round metal piece out of the side for the dryer vent hose to go through, otherwise I could not have closed the closet door (with it going through the back). It was very difficult to knock out. My old one had a plastic snap-out cover, which would have been preferable. Overall I am very pleased with this unit.
