Comments about Whirlpool Piggyback Electric Washer/Dryer Combo - White on White:
I've never been more satisfied with a product. I have nothing but praise for the performance of both the washer and dryer as well as their appearance. This combination washer/dryer overall is a solid product I would recommend to anyone looking for good results in a washer and dryer.

Stacked w/d unit
from Frankfort, ky
Unit runs very quiet. Does excellent job of washing n drying quickly and completely.
Great time saving machine.
from Sanford, FL, United States
The washer does a wonderful job in no time. The dryer is very efficient and I have saved time when doing the laundry. The installation was easy. Only item I don't like is that the washer can be noisy. Otherwise, I am very pleased with this purchase.

I bought my Whirlpool stackable washer/dryer about 6 weeks ago, and I'm very pleased with it. It washes great and the dryer is so quiet and does an excellent job. I highly recommend this product!

Exceent Compact Unit

We have had this washer/dryer for month and couldn't be happier. Our space is very limited and this unit really fit the bill. Even though it has a smaller capacity, there is no trouble washing and drying a set of queen sheets. The lint filter in the dryer is very simple to clean. The washer has lots of options for cycles and water temperatures. We are VERY happy with this appliance!

I replaced my 25 year old Whirlpool combination washer/dryer with this new model. I had my doubts about it at the beginning as the washer didn't fill up like my old one. I was afraid the clothes wouldn't get clean enough without more water-but I was wrong! Our clothes get just as clean [maybe even better] and I like the automatic fabric softener dispenser. The only complaint I may have is the dryer doesn't seem to dry as well as my old model. I have to restart after the buzzer goes off for more drying time.

I had to buy this when I first moved into my condo. There really weren't many options as far as stackable units that fit in a closet, and Whirlpool was highly recommended. However, I'm not entirely pleased with the unit, as my clothes continue to come out of the wash full of lint, even when I clean the filter in the agitator. The dryer works ok. Sometimes I have to run the load through the dryer another half cycle.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
This machine is destroying my clothing at an alarming rate
from Aberdeen Md
Being an apartment dweller, I am at the mercy of my landlord's choice of machines. When the old washing machine died a few months ago, they replaced it with this model. This machine is MUCH louder than the old one was, which is an annoyance in and of itself, but it also seems to be wearing though my clothing at an alarming rate. In the three months since they switched the machine out, I have had 4 pairs of pants tear in this machine, including 2 pairs of relatively new Levi's jeans and a pair of heavyweight canvas Columbia outdoor pants just tonight. That is 4 more than I have had do the same in all of my life. It has also somehow ruined the elastic in all of my socks and boxers, and I have had 5 or 6 socks tear through when I went to pull them on in the morning, over the past few months, which is also a first for me. It appears to be weakening the structure of the fabric itself somehow, which leads to premature wear. I have also noticed that the machine tends to tangle clothing up pretty severely, and getting my clothes to come our somewhat wrinkle free is nearly impossible with this machine unless you wash each item individually. Not very happy with this machine at all, but there is nothing I can do about it. I've taken to washing my clothing when I visit relatives, which is a pain, but better than paying another $80 for a new pair of jeans after it destroyed 2 pairs that were under 6 months old. I should probably point out that I almost never use bleach. I think I have used it once in the past 4 years. I use standard Tide liquid detergent. I was using the febreeze one for a little while, but I didn't like the scent so I went back to the original.
