Comments about Whirlpool Piggyback Electric Washer/Dryer Combo - White on White:
The size is perfect for a small space. Unfortunately this product is defective, needs to be recalled. I have had it 5 years & have had to have it repaired every year. There is a problem with the shocks, bangs loudly. Beware, read reviews on sites other than whirlpool.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Lint Catcher is next to useless
from Athens, GA
This is the washer dryer that came with my apartment, and the lint trap does not create a seal, allowing lint to pass through many places. Behind it is a grate, that I didn't know existed until I decided to see what was behind the lint trap. There I found about 1/2 cubic foot of lint, gum, a pen and pencil, and the key to my clothes drying in one cycle rather than having to use two. I am still in the process of cleaning this grate, and have been for over an hour. This could have been prevented had you made a lint trap that didn't just loosely sit there, and one that was useful.

Bought this combo washer/dryer for our 2nd house. Had to get something that could fit in a tight space and had good reviews. This washer/dryer is great. It is fairly quiet and cleans well. Does not hold a lot of laundry but no combo does. I would highly recommend this model.

Its cheap and heres why ... ...
from Dallas, TX
Washer only barely half fills up. Don't fill this washer full of clothes to the top because due to new, I assume, govt. requirements to save water this machine will not fill all the way and therefore does a fair job at best of washing clothes along with a "slow speed" rinse and again, half fill. Hot water mixes with cold, again due to energy star requirements so you will not get a traditional hot water wash. The washer is very loud during operation and has little capacity, especially if you want the clothes to come clean then you would only have to fill the tub half full of clothes and therefore do many, many loads, hence there goes the point of saving any water or time. Waste of money.

It is working great!
from Honolulu, HI
After reviewing our stack washer/dryer options we decided to purchase the Whirlpool unit for both quality and cost. Now that we've had some time using this product I'm very happy that we made this choice. Provides a large washer capacity, cleans the laundry better then we had expected and the drying cycle is quiet and speedy. All in all a great buy!

Bought this unit to replace the Thin Twin unit that came with our condo 14 years ago. Old unit worked great the whole time we owned it, never needed a repair. The only reason we decided to purchase the new unit was that the old unit was starting to get a little noisy and our local appliance dealer was offering an tremendous deal on his existing stock. New unit is quieter that the old unit and knobs have been updated but works exactly like the original.Great machine for a small space & we like the fact that it has a smaller capacity than the larger units because we might run the machine one extra time a week due to the smaller capacity but laundry days are so much easier when you have smaller loads to deal with to begin with.We are expecting another 14 years of trouble free laundry days with this newer model.
Fits small condo space

Bought this stackable 6 months ago to replace stacked, separate washer & dryer that were able to handle larger loads, were quieter, and when new, did not become out of balance or quit in mid-cycle. This new one will have to do.
great size for the single person
from Grayling MI
I love the size no wasting of water. When using a full size washer you either have to adjust thr load size or wait for making a full size load, but as a single person this washer is just the right size and clothes are just as clean as with a larger washer.
