Works well until a year later, had to get a repair guy to replace the door button switch.

I always buy Whirlpool Brand appliances. The price is always competitive, or better priced than other brands, but other brands cannot compete with Whirlpool's REPUTATION for quality appliances. Beckie PahnerFoxfire Realty Services

Might as well air dry....

I used to have a small stacked washer/dryer. It broke. I bought the whirlpool thin twin, and now I have to wash half (or less than half) the amount of clothing, and dry it three times for 45 minutes before I'm done with one load. I am literally never done with laundry. FYI I am single with no kids. Don't buy it! It's the Pitts!
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
The Perfect Fit
from Avoca, MN
I purchased my new whirlpool stack washer and dryer in March 2015, but it didn't get installed until early May 2015. I have a modified earth home, so storage space is limited. I previously had a separate washer and dryer, but they took up too much space. We had a Whirlpool stack washer and dryer put in my mother's home a few years ago, and she loves it, so I decided to give this a try. So far it has been great. Very functional, easy to use, and does a great job with the clothes. Plus it gave me extra room so that I could add a utility sink in the room.

This units performance is above standard the reason I rated it a 3 is it's very noisy when going from a wash cycle to a spin and then again from spin to fill for rinse. Even had a warrnty service call for this reason. All was reported in working order via the service tech.
Convenient for elderly user

This washer/dryer fits the space I have perfectly and is easy to use. The controls work well for a somewhat handicapped person. I have used Whirlpool in the past and found it efficient, easy to maintain, and giving good results for my wash.
Noisy Wash Cycle
By Noisy Larry

I bought this machine a month ago and I am not happy. It is very noisy during its wash cycle, but the other cycles are okay. Need to have a better mounting plus more insulation to minimize the noise.
Very noisy during wash cycle.

Except that the machine need to have a better suspension for its motor and better insulation. Other than that, the rest of the cycle is okay and the dryer is just fine

I bought this washer dryer combo a month ago. It works great and is fairly quiet compared to my old unit. So far I am impressed with its capabilities.
