Lower Water Levels
By Judy D
from New Jersey
Comments about Whirlpool WET4027EW Washer/Dryer Combo:
I recently purchased the stackable washer/dryer because our 21 year old set was on its last legs. I am not too happy with the lower water levels that are now being used in the washer. The dryer works great though.I just dont think there is enough water to properly wash the clothes now. I do add a little more water when necessary, but I guess Im just defeating the purpose of saving energy. I also do not like that they changed the water temperature. The hot water is just luke warm now.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Great Stacked Washer/Dryer for its Size!
from Kailua, HI
I replaced a refurbished version of this washer/dryer with this machine because of its compact size which fits into our laundry closet. But this one works much more efficiently and faster than the older model. I like how it saves water and dries the laundry so quickly. I do have to extend the wash period beyond the 14 minutes available on the normal cycle for towels and work-out clothes, otherwise they end up with a musty smell. It would be nice if the cycle lasted 18 minutes instead of 14, like my older model. But in general this is a great machine!
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Ticks most of our "boxes"

Fits nicely in the space of the old gas one. Electric uses less energy!Dryer sheets tend to get caught on something under the lint trap. Wish the high water setting was higher...running all loads on present high setting.!

Did anyone at Whirlpool even test this machine?
from Irvine ca
This machine is a joke. I thought there must be something wrong, it only fills half way up with water. Ever tried to wash 2 bed sheets in there? You can only wash a few items, and then you have to rinse them twice. Shame on Whirlpool, this is no water saver!

Perfect fit for my space
By Aunt Flo
I replaced an older unit with this one about 3 mo ago this is the worst. The water saver only fill the washer half way, I use more water because I can only wash a load the size of a set of queen sheets at a time if i want them to get washed with water then I have to do a second rinse to get the soap out, using more water, more power, more time. Clothes come out washer a tangled mess. Dryer works good reason for 2 stars . washer need to be recalled

Low Water Levels
from St Pete, FL
I find the water level in the washer to be very low which necessitates running a second rinse cycle to make sure there is no soap in my clothes. Also I have to run small loads as larger loads do not get thoroughly wet.The dryer works great. My decision to purchase this model was based on space limitations.
from New Paltz, NY
I bought this unit to replace a front loader that I had to keep open for mold. I can now walk past the closed laundry closet with a smile. My new unit washes and spins things dry. Clothing is cleaner in a much shorter time. The dryer works great too. It's the only unit our appliance guy will sell and we agree!
