Combination Washer/Electric Dryer Review.
By Barb Heil

Comments about Whirlpool WET4027EW Washer/Dryer Combo:
I bought it a little over a month ago and am getting used to the new lower water level. I wish they would have told me about the water saver first, but I am learning to put smaller loads in and I am so thankful that I purchased it. The delivery and set up was really fast and pleasant. So glad I purchased it new and from a local dealer.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Excellent replacement combination washer/dryer
from Grand Island,FL
This unit does a good job cleaning as our old unit that lasted almost 15 years. The water level seems lower than our old unit. But everything does seem to come out just as clean. Make sure you use the correct laundry soap for the newer washers.
i am dosapointed in the noise the washer makes.
Don't buy this machine!!!!
The washer is ridiculous. So little water the top of load still dry after cycle. Didn't even get wet. Will only work with half a load of clothes??? Great water saver. The machine gets twice the wear and your laundry time is twice as long. This machine should be recalled.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

There is a narrow channel under the air exhaust vent in the dryer where materials constantly get stuck. In some cases the fabric can be damaged. It ripped a hole in my bed sheet. At first, I thought it was a fluke thing, but then it happened again. After about 5 months, it happens regularly, almost every load. And, no, I do not over stuff the dryer. The red shirt in the photo was caught in a load that included 2 shirts, 2 underwear, and 2 kitchen hand towels. Very small load. The white bed sheet was in a load that included one set of bedding.

This will need ironing and possibly other care.
Many items get hung up here, and then twisted up during the cycle
Does the job
from Denver, CO
At first I was not impressed with the washer, as every spin cycle sounded like a rocket about to take off and I was honestly afraid for my apartment. I tried a number of adjustments to rebalance it to no avail. Finally, I figured out it had to do with the water level and load size, but it is not very clear how to adjust this; it is marked "soil level" rather than "load size". Once I adjusted the soil level for the load size it began to work smoothly every time and I am much happier with it. The dryer works very well and is quiet and efficient. Wish the door stayed open on its own- it swings back right to head level when you are moving clothes up from the washer and has led to a number of head bumps.
Kind of loud
Bought this to replace my Maytag Neptune. The best part is the top loading washer instead of front loading, except it makes a lot more noise. The way the unit is put together, it has to sit quite a ways from the wall, because of the dryer vent. For the price, I'm not totally happy, but I am limited on choice due to space.
Worst Washer ever bought

I have the same complaints other express, the amount of water, you need to wash half the amount of clothes than with my old combo; the lint in the clothes, the temperature in warm is cold, etc, etc. But the worst, I had a problem with the timer of the washer unit, it doesn´t run sometimes, and I have to manage the unit manually, because, it can be washing all the time, without changing to spin and stop. The call center of service for Latin America is in Colombia, worst comunication quality I ever experience, have to scream in order to be hear, and i had been waiting for the solution of the change of the timer part, for more than a month. Some years ago I had a bad experience with a Whirlpool refrigerator, with a problem in the design of the electronic control card, and now with this wash dryer combo, I will never buy a Whirpool apliance.
The Best Choice When Space Is an Issue
from Hopkinsville, KY
I am very satisfied. I purchased this combination washer/dryer unit due to space limitations in my apartment. I now smile with joy every time I walk by my laundry room. My laundry room is no longer cramped. It was not designed for a separate washer and dryer. You literally have to reach over the corner back side of the dryer to load/unload the washer machine. It was such a dreadful task to do laundry. So now, by purchasing this technically economical Whirlpool Combination Washer/Dryer, I made the best decision.
It did not work.

I bought this and neither the washer or dryer worked right from Day One. I had the Little Appliance people come to look at it and then return it.
