Recently purchased my fourth set for apartment complex. Very convenient for the tenants and a quality product, meaning less repairs for the landlady.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Nice combo unit

This came new with a renovated condo I recently purchased. It has simple controls ( which I like) yet has all the necessary wash and dry options.Although small and compact it does more clothes than you would think. Also does blankets and small rugs with out a problem.

I had water damage that caused my old "thin-twin" to say "replace me"! By the way, it was 30 years young!!The new replacement model WET 4024 was installed three weeks ago and is a "gem". Both the wash and dry cycles have operated with the up most efficiency and I am sure that this new "baby" will grow another 30 plus years. Thank you, Whirlpool, for an excellent product.
Noisy, white control arrows hard to see
from Eugene, Or
The washer/dryer seems to clean and dry well. However, it is very noisy and the white arrows on the controls for the washer and dryer are very hard to see. I was able to paint the dryer arrow red but was not able to access the washer arrow with a brush. The dryer buzzes when it is finished and the noise annoys my dog (and me) and there is no easy way to turn off the buzzer.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Good design for small space
from Richmond Virginia
Wash cycle very noisy. Clothes come out clean an dries in reasonable. Major quality control issues - shipped without all parts so delay in installation that did not work. Cold water relay connection inside machine was not connected at factory further delaying ability to use.
Quality varies depending on machine and delivery

This 24-in washer/dryer combination Whirlpool appliance replaces an almost identical Kenmore model which lasted almost 19 years. The dryer still worked fine, but with only one electric outlet and limited space in our condominium stacked machines were not an option. I decided to buy a Whirlpool combo after reading bad reviews of the Kenmore combo. Actually this is my second delivered Whirlpool combo- the first one was delivered with a broken frame, so the left front foot did not support the machine. The seal inside the dryer also had a sharp edge of dried-on glue, and the dryer door was almost impossible to close. This particular machine arrived with a bent panel on the bottom right, but the delivery people assured us that it did not affect the function. Since the seller was willing to adjust the price, we decided to keep it. So far it has worked well- just the dryer door is a bit hard to close. The water temperature is lower than stated on the machine- "hot" is "warm", and "warm" is almost "cold." If you want the water level to rise all the way to the top, you have to put the soil level on "heavy". I like that it is possible to add additional items after the machine has started. The "automatic" setting on the dryer seems to over dry- items are dry long before the cycle ends so I have gone back to using the "timed dry" setting.

I bought this a month ago, and it was the best thing I did! I love that it has settings for energy savings and different loads too. The performance is well past what I expected!
Best choice for limited width and combo unit.

Washer does a good job. Capacity is more than enough as I am single person. Solid build with lower noise level than I expected. The three soil level settings actually adjust for three water levels, unlike other makes. Stopping mid wash to open lid is no problem either. Drier is so good that I only use the low heat setting on auto. I would get this one over the GE. Very happy with it.
