Great mattress protector
from Celina, TX, United States
Comments about bedgear Ver-Tex 6.0 Cooling Mattress Protector:
Just bought my second Ver-Tex mattress protector- this one as a gift for my daughter and son-in-law. This mattress protector is extremely comfortable and offers great protection, especially when young children and puppies sleep on your bed!
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Glad we purchased!!
from Calgary, AB, Canada
The sleeping comfort of our sheets on this mattress protector is incredible. I was very hesitant about this protector due to many reviews indicating that the sheets kept slipping off. Simple solution: Use mattress elastics to hold your sheets in place and there will be no issues, problem solved! The initially cooling when you first enter your bed is a great feeling. This is not an air conditioner people where it keeps you frigid all night (just like some people like to think) but keeps you very comfortable. Glad we purchased!! You will not be disappointed.
Sheets Won't Stay On!

Sure, it will keep you cool, but if your sheets won't stay in place and you find you are wrapped and tangled in them...guess what? You're still hot!

Finally a no sweat night
from Monticello, IA, United States
It fits my adjustable bed perfectly and for the first time in a long time I slept through the night without throwing the blanket off.
This protector is a beaut!
from Milwaukee, WI, United States
I'm a naturally hot sleeper and was worried about memory foam mattresses. My salesmen suggested this mattress protector with my memory foam mattress, and it has worked great! Sleep cool every night! Pricey but worth it.
Thick but stays cool!
from Chicago, IL, United States
Was surprised how well this worked. Feeling the swatch at the store and how cool it was had me excited, but when I got it home it seemed like it would be too thick to actually keep out heat. I've been sleeping on it for a few months now and sleeping nice and cool! It's a little slippery like others have said, but overall very happy with this purchase!
Paid $299 for this at Ashley's. Hate it!!!

My husband hates it because it makes him sweat. I hate it because the sheets don't stay on. I've had sheets slide off in the middle of the night and had to get up and fix it. DO NOT BUY!!
Drenched in Sweat. Does the opposite of advertised
from NJ, United States
I bought a Serta iComfort memory foam mattress about two weeks ago; two twin XL's mattresses actually, one for my wife, one for me, combined to form a king size bed. I am a very hot person so I was concerned going with memory foam due to it's reputation of sleeping hot, but when I saw and felt this product in the store, I was impressed at how cool to the touch it was and decided to take the plunge into memory foam with this protector to keep me cool. This was a mistake. This product actually does the exact opposite of what it is advertised and intended to do. I have woken up every night for the past two weeks drenched in sweat despite using a very lightweight blanket and when I put my hand behind my back it is like I was sleeping on a heating pad set on high. All this time I didn't suspect the mattress protector could be the cause and I've been blaming the memory foam, pondering whether or not to go innerspring once my 30 day break-in period is up. After all, how could it possibly be the $200 mattress protector that is specifically designed to keep you cool causing the hot sleep? Last night I asked my wife who has the body temperature of a salamander to sleep on my twin XL with the vertex and I slept on her twin XL with a generic stock-grade cotton mattress protector and I slept through the night, waking up dry in the morning, and she woke up hot. I can't speak for it's performance on innerspring mattresses, but if you have a memory foam, I would avoid at all costs. You are better off sleeping right on top of the foam.
Huge pain overnight!
from Brandon, MB, Canada
Possibly the worst purchase I've ever made! The mattress protector is so slick that the fitted sheet acts more like a slip and slide. Every morning the fitted sheet comes loose and bunches up. Sheet straps don't help...different sheets don't help either. The product is of course non-returnable. Will NEVER purchase this brand again.
Do not buy
from Washington, D.C., DC, United States
As mentioned by many others, this is a terrible, expensive, non-returnable product. It is not cooling as described, and the slippery surface causes even the best fitted sheets to become un-tucked, resulting in a terrible night's sleep. If you have an adjustable bed, you will be lying on thick, bunched up fabric. I should have researched this first instead of listening to the mattress salesman. An expensive mistake that spoils the comfort of a good mattress.
