I really liked this remote, but it had two big issues for me. The channel number buttons were very tiny. I have small hands, but I had to use my pinky to press buttons at an odd angle in order to get the right one. Considering changing channels is a pretty basic thing one expects from a remote control, this is a big flaw.

The much LARGER flaw is the flimsy LCD screen. I picked mine up this evening and the entire top half no longer works and has a black smear on it from an internal crack. I'm not rough with it and didn't sit on it. It fell on the floor from about 2 ft earlier - maybe that did it. But the screen cannot be replaced. I've had the remote for two weeks beyond the 90 day manufacturer warranty and if I want a working remote, I need to buy a new one. Google Logitech + Harmony + broken LCD and you will find other reports from people with broken and useless Harmony remotes of all types for which the screen cannot be repaired. Only one person has successfully gotten Logitech to replace the remote and his broke within two weeks.

If you have kids or are rough on remotes, this is definitely not the product for you. You may as well shove $100 bills down the garbage disposal.

Great controller at a great price. I bought one for my dad's birthday, helped him set it up and it only took about 10 minutes. Liked it so much I just ordered myself one. I gave it 4/5 stars only because I feel like there is a slight delay when using some of the buttons, but its not that bad.

Does what it is supposed to. As long as you program it correctly you should not have a problem. I read reviews complaining about noise from a loose part inside, but that is just the "Wake Up" feature. If you move the remote it turns the display on.

I read a lot of reviews on programmable all-in-one remote controls before deciding on the Logitech Harmony 510. I saw quite a few negative reviews about this model, all surrounding how difficult it is to setup. Well, I'm pretty savvy with this sort of thing and decided to give this model a try because it was about $50 versus $100-$300 for other models that have similar features. If you *read* the instructions and *read* the software responses on the computer during programming, you'll have no problems. If you fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants, you'll get yourself in trouble. The instructions clearly state to set aside 45 minutes for set up and that is about how long it took me at a very leisurely pace. Great value in this programmable remote control.

Very easy instructions to follow. Hardest part was to find the model numbers of my units. CD instructions lead me through all my configurations. I even had to change one of my configurations (my fault) and the change was VERY easy online.
