Comments about Onkyo HT-RC160 Dolby Digital 7.2 Receiver:
Couple of things I love about this receiver: 1) 5 HDMI input and one out 2) Upconverts all SD signal to 1080i 3) 7.2 channels for that second sub I might get one day 4) 80 Watts per channel of clean power. Most people think the more power per channel the better the sound but that is not the truth. the power has to be clean and consistent.
If this is your first home theater receiver then be prepared to spend 2 or 3 hours setting everything up. After setup you will need to do some tweaking (setup auto calibration, fine tune speakers, setup remote, check speaker placements). Once everything is done sit back and enjoy the sound this receiver can produce.
