I bought this steamer to steam grout. I wound up steaming everything in my house. It was on for about three hours straight while I was going steam happy and held up. It says best if using distilled water but I use brita water and I must have since then filled and used it like 150 times. It's just as good as new. I will say that although steam is wonderful, you still need a chemical. For me this did wonders I have never seen things so shiny. However, chemicals didn't work alone and neither did steam. But I would steam first then spray a disinfectant or cleaner and it was truly amazing.
