My first SLR camera I researched for months, so many people said to get the canon, but if you have never had an SLR and are a beginner to all these fancy photography terms, this is definitely the one. The 'Guide' mode is priceless, I just got the camera, it takes beautiful pictures, so much better than a point-and-shoot you cannot even compare it, but unlike all the other SLRs I looked at, this one is remarkably easy to use and an excellent intro to real photography. A must for scrapbookers! Much higher quality and resolution on the pics makes for much better cropping!
