i have an old central a.c. unit that is expensive to operate and does not cool well.rather than having another summer of high electric bills i purchased 3 of these. they were on sale and reviews were good.well summers almost over and they have performed beautifully.have a 12000btu ancient window a.c.to assist the other three which are placed in different rooms through home.cools much better than the central a.c.but will probably replace old 12000btu a.c. next summer.not incredibly energy efficient.these little units are worth their weight in gold.

bought 3 of these to replace my energy guzzling central air unit that is 33 years old.my bill was over 300.00 a month using it.so far little units have done a good job but has not been extremely hot yet to judge.

bought 3 of these units to replace using my 1978 carrier central air unit.energy efficiency was not in the minds of manufacturers back then.using this unit costs 300.00 or better a month to use. hopefully the smaller units will be more energy efficient to use.bought in april and only had a few warm days and so far they have cooled just fine. do not know how they will be in 95+ weather as of yet but will keep my fingers crossed.

Cools well and very affordable but also very loud.

I bought this ac in 2005, and it still works great. It is a little noisy, but it doesn't keep me awake. If you have a small room to keep cool, it's a great deal.
