Wall Ovens
There are a few things you should keep in mind when selecting a new wall oven. First, what size wall oven do you need? Are you replacing an existing wall oven? Or are you remodeling the entire kitchen. If you're building a new kitchen, then the sky's the limit, but if you're replacing the existing wall oven, then the new wall oven must fit into your existing space. Wall ovens come in many different sizes. It's the width of the wall oven that will determine the size. Today wall ovens are available in 24, 27, and 30 inch widths. High end wall ovens can also be found in the 36 inch width. The height of the wall oven must also be considered as this varies by manufacturer. When installing a wall oven, you must also take into consideration the size of the cabinet cutout. This is always less than the overall dimension and over the years has changed dramatically.

Next is the fuel type. Will you be connecting your wall oven to gas or electric? Electric wall ovens require up to 50 amp, 240 volt service. Gas wall ovens are designed for natural gas, but most can be converted to work with LP gas. LP gas conversions are not a do-it-yourself project, and should be performed by a licensed plumber or installer.

Today's wall ovens are available as a single, double, and in some cases, triple configuration, where a microwave is included. The latest is a French door design, where the oven opens like a side by side refrigerator, allowing you easy access.

Next is the color. Most wall ovens are available in white, black, and of course, the most popular, stainless steel. When it comes to wall ovens there are many options and styles available to complement any dream kitchen. For more information, go to pcrichard.com/learningcenter or visit our YouTube channel.
