Air Conditioner Installation: True Wall Fit

For a wall installation, a true wall fit air conditioner is highly recommended. These air conditioners actually breathe from the rear. Unlike other air conditioners with ventilation on the side that can be installed through a wall or in a window, these units are not limited on the thickness of the wall. Therefore, if you have a home where the wall thickness is greater than a standard 2x4 construction then this is the air conditioner for you. On the back, you will notice on this unit used in the video above that the sides are solid; therefore, all the breathing of the air conditioner is done through the rear. One side brings in the outside air while the other is blows the hot air out.
