Every Kitchen Should Have One

Exceeds expectations
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We added a Bosch convection steam oven to our renovated kitchen. Although smaller than most conventional ovens, the convection steam oven makes up for it in performance. So far everything we have cooed in the oven has come out quicker and tastes better. We are amazed at how you can cook several thins in the oven at the same time and the taste and smell of each item remains unique. Clean up is a breeze. Because of the steam nothing seems to stick. If you do have something dirty a pan all you have to do is steam it for several minutes and it gets as good as new. We cooked spare ribs last night and they were fall off the bone finger licking good. It is also nice to be able to steam things during this vivid 19 crisis. The steam should kill any germs
Overall this oven is a winner and great addition to the kitchen

Bosch Steam Oven makes the yummiest food!

When building our home I reached out to an appliance expert friend and asked what he would put in if it were his home. He without pause, said he'd swap out my double oven for a single oven plus steam oven. We use it ALL the time! For cakes, veggies, meat. We cooked the best prime rib we have ever had in the steam oven! DELICIOUS! Highly recommend!

We added the Bosch Steam Oven into the design of our kitchen and couldn't be happier. Initally, I was concerned about the size of the oven being too small. Ive been surprised how well everything fits in the space. I'm still learning how to cook various things in it but we have used it on a daily basis. Great product.... Happy user.

Remarkable appliance!
We own the Bosch steam oven for 6 months and have been learning how to use it. At Thanksgiving we took a chance and cooked a 13 lb turkey in the steam oven following the Bosch instruction booklet. The turkey cooked in 75 minutes (!!!) and had crispy skin and juicy tender meat. We had a former professional chef with us and he was as amazed and pleased with the results as we were! The reheat function is fantastic... it warms the food, reconstitutes it to perfect texture, unlike the microwave, and gets things appropriately crispy. We reheated our leftover cornbread stuffing and turkey and it was PERFECT. This oven dramatically cuts down cooking time so you can throw a last minute meal together for surprise guests and cook something quickly and it’s delicious. I just used the plate warm function the other day and they were very warm but could still be handled without a mit. We are still learning how to use all the functions but we are so glad we purchased this oven. I only wish there were more cookbooks / recipes / instructions for this technology so we could really learn the ins and outs, because I’m guessing how to adjust my recipes’ cook times

LOVE LOVE LOVE this oven
Cooking with steam is amazing. Not only does it keep food moist, but the "reheat" feature is fabulous as well. It took a few weeks to get used to using the oven but now I'm hooked. I also like the fact that you don't have to use steam -- there's a "European Convection" feature so if I'm just making a piece of fish for two of us, I don't have to heat up the big oven. Wonderful appliance, I'm so glad we invested in this.

Great Purchase!
I bought all Bosch appliances for my new home and this was the highlight of my kitchen. My first meal was a baked chicken and it was absolutely wonderful. I was surprised how clean the oven was afterwards and the minimal residue was easily wiped out with a sponge. You cannot go wrong with this oven. It is definitely worthwhile to review the literature with the oven and watch a few of the videos.

Special features for our new kitchen!
This was a tough decision, but I am so glad we decided on this steam oven, over a microwave or a speed oven. We subscribe to a CSA and having the steam oven makes it easier for us to steam all the great veggies, keeping their color and nutrients in tact! It also makes perfect soft or hard "boiled' eggs, and comes in handy when you need an extra oven to fit in another tray of cookies, reheat, or keep other dishes warm. Reheating pasta is amazing, it is almost better than when it first came out of the pot! The oven heats up super fast too and it is really cool to turn the light on and see the steam in action! Cleaning/or drying it after steaming is more labor intensive then expected but having all of these features is well worth it.

Great oven!
We moved into our new house with a fully equipped contemporary kitchen three months ago. It turns out this appliance is the one we used the most. The only draw back is cleaning. Little tip: After cooking, run the oven in Europ Convection mode for 7 min. to dry out the oven interior. I just use distil water to generate steam and leave the water tank in all the time which means the interior water reservoir is full all the time. This will prevent the reservoir dry out and develop stain spots. Give the interior a good clean with the steam clean and descale sysle, it is as new.

We decided to purchase Include this item during our recent kitchen remodel. We committed ourselves in trying to cook healthier. This steam oven has made the grade. We have owned this unit over the last 6 month plus and could not be more pleased. If healthier eating is in your future plans, I highly recommend looking at this unit. Food has never tasted better !!

It's the simple things
I really like the sleek look of my oven.
I've steamed vegetables with ease and freed up my cooktop.
The display guid helps with the intimidation factor of cooking with a steam oven for the first time. And it's a small thing but I love the feature of the oven timer shutting off when you open the oven door.
I'm working up to trying a roast.
Over all I'm really excited with my new stove.

Love my new steam oven!
Just finished cooking my first chicken breast in this awesome oven and it was a complete hit with my family. REALLY moist with a crunchy skin. Also, easiest meal to cook and clean up after. Just got the oven and have found it very intuitive to use.

OK but....
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We like the way it cooks food either by steam or convection. However, the Descaling has never worked - follow directions meticulously and get error messages - either process doesn't complete (rinse phase doesn't start) or doesn't start at all (says water low even though reservoir is full of descaling solution). I suspect the control board is defective or some electronic malfunction. Unfortunately didn't find this out until warranty was expired. Guess we'll just run it until it dies and spend the outrageous service call (about $1000 for parts and labor).
If you get one of these (and when they work, they're great) ge an extended warranty and try all the functions in the first month.

Not your average oven!
We bought this oven as part of our new build. We had heard steam ovens are great for retaining the nutrients of food and wanted to try it. It took a while to get the cooking correct, time and temperatures needed can be much different. Through trial and error, we are on good footing now. It looks so good with our built in microwave.

Great oven
I use the convection part of this oven all the time to cook for just the two of us. Being small it heats up in no time and cooks super quick. The steam part is great on vegetables and left overs and so much healthier than the microwave
I do wish that the door opened to the side - it would be much easier to get things in and out and to clean.

Healthy way to cook
I bought this for a remodel to replace the microwave. Healthy way to cook but I have had to have it replaced because the clock did not sync with the oven clock and during servicing the unit was scratched. It went off 6 minutes over a month. Eggs cook perfectly and broccoli was green and not over cooked if the suggested time
was used. Sweet potatoes cook moistly. There is a learning curve.
I wish the door did not open down but
Right to left or vice versus because it hard to reach the back to wipe for shorter people.
