Some reviews said the buttons are hard to press but they work the same as my old Samsung so I'm used to it. I like the express buttons which my old one didn't have. Can't speak to longevity but so far so good.

Wanted white but only model left on sale was stainless but meshed well with white stove. Looks nice. Since I only use to reheat and cook popcorn I opted for less bells and whistles for basic controls. New microwave is very easy to use, no need to refer back to instruction book. Very Happy to date.

is there a light and vent?

Yes, it does have both, but don't buy it's stop working for me in 16 months. This microwave is not well built.

It's only 18 months old. My microwave stop working. As soon as I press start, my circuit breaker flips. A service guy came to check, he said switch has a problem and to repair it will cost $230. GE should fix it without out of pocket cost or just replace.

Does this model have an outside vent option

No it is ductless it does not have a vent to be vented outside. But it does have a fan that circulates the air that you can turn on Manually.  Also when micro reaches a certain temperature it automatically turns on to cool it down

I just bought a new microwave, GE  JVM3160DFCC.  Will it fit on my old GE JVM1650CB006 brackets?

Probably not. We tried to use the old brackets and while they look similar they wouldn't work. Not sure now what model that was. It was a GE but about 9 years older
