Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Like a Charm! I have replaced my GE Profile Refrigerator MSWF filter several times. This past month the drinking water feature on front of refrigerator stopped working. I Googled this issue and one of the issues they mentioned is that your water filter may need to be replaced. Since my existing filter was about a year old, I ordered a new one and viola! once I installed the new MSWF filter the drinking water function began to work again.

I believe it makes the water taste better, thus it must be eliminating a lot of minerals/chemicals. You cannot be sure of your water supply these days, so I am very pleased to be able to use this.
