Replaced an Inferior Connector
When we purchased our new gas stove, we discovered that the gas connector provided by the company (now defunct) from which we had purchased our old stove installed a connector that was not up to current code. Moreover, when we started the oven on that stove, we always smelled gas, which the defunct company's service people told us was "normal" and advised us to turn on the hood fan every time we started the oven. The new one not only conforms to code, but also has eliminated any gas smell. We only wish we had replaced our old stove sooner.
