Excellent shredder for the price.
Excellent shredder. This is built well and works well. It has a very large capacity bin for the waste paper, and due to the tiny size of the pieces it store quite a bit of shreds. The unit is powerful, but a bit on the slow side which is not a big issue unless you have hundreds of sheets to shred at a time. The quality seems much better than the usual Chinese stuff that is expected in today's marketplace. Recommended if you need a moderate sized shredder.

This Royal 14 sheet shredder is great buy.
The Royal Heavy Duty 14 Sheet Micro Cut Shredder is great. I read some of the other reviews regarding this shredder. The only shredder that I have used that is better is a heavy duly shredder in an accounting firm. This shredder will overheat after about 70 sheets (about 20 minutes of continuous use). Turn off the shredder, pull out the hopper, let it cool down, the device will be ready for use. Very please with this shredder.

Website listing is mixing between 2 diff shredders.The description is mentioning a 12 pg CROSS CUT/3.5gal waste bin but showing on the page (main title of product is the 14pgMICROCUT/10gal waste bin (MC14MX). SO which price and which product is this for?

I would like to know if this machine takes staples and paper clips Would also like to know how long it runs and what is the cool down time?

From the Operation Manual: DO NOT attempt to shred materials other than paper, credit cards and CD's in the provided feed slots.
The Royal MC14MX is equipped with an automatic motor overload protection circuit. The duty cycle for the MC14MX is rated for continuous shredding. The unit will automatically terminate power in case of the following abnormal situations:
1). Operating the shredder at the maximum 14-sheet capacity continuously for a prolonged period of time.
2). Exceeding the shredding capacity, eg. Inserting more than fourteen (14) sheets of 20-lbs paper in one pass, or if the paper is not fed squarely into the feed opening.
In case of overload/overheating: Turn off or unplug the power cord from the AC outlet and wait at least 30 minutes for the thermal overload protection to reset.
